Well, since we can’t get an impeachment, can we at least get some Congressional control of the situation? Maybe not likely with the group in office now.
I would certainly agree he would never be impeached in the scenario you outline, but... what if he really Really REALLY did something outrageous?
The man isn’t smart.
If he had agreed to put off the penalties for Obamacare the Govt. would not have shut down and the miserable performance of his website would not have been so bloody.
The House could refuse to fund it, I think.
What nobody seems to realize is that he has just proclaimed himself to have the power to do things like seize lands from private parties, expel private businesses from their activities and, essentially, control all the physical aspects of our lives.
He has been testing the waters with his earlier executive orders, and he has found that he can get away with anything. Congress has always done too little too late, and the Democrats are simply afraid of him and will do whatever he says, so any hope that Senate Democrats might join the minority GOP in objecting is in vain.
For everybody who cheerfully assured themselves and us that Obamacare was such a disaster that he would be handicapped for the next three years...think again. Every failure, scandal or crisis that he creates only seems to embolden him. But this is about the worst one yet.
I bet he was inspired to do this when he saw how well his shutdown of the national parks and public lands went. He has a Secretary of the Interior who will do anything he says and enact any tyrannical order he gives, and a legislature that is too powerless or terrified to do anything about it.

Every day we get a Nancy Pelosi quote. Haven’t heard from Boehner since the last time he sold us out. As for Mitch he is too bust bad mouthing his republican opponent to say anything bad about Obama.

If Obama can't incite citizens to riot (so he can step on them) OR bankrupt the country - before his term is up - the game's OVER and we can save the country. First thing I thought of...massive private land grabs. Find out who preppers and patriots are and just take their land! I have property with a small creek running across it surrounded by conservation trusts. Wasn’t that way 8 years ago when I bought the place. Really ramped up in the last 4 years.

The idea that we send representatives to DC to legislate on our behalf is through. High time we realize that the bureaucrats (politburo) run this country regardless of the vote.
The legislature does not have enough resources to oversee/manage the vast departments. The expansion of the IRS was the telltale sign that self governance is over.
