What nobody seems to realize is that he has just proclaimed himself to have the power to do things like seize lands from private parties, expel private businesses from their activities and, essentially, control all the physical aspects of our lives.
He has been testing the waters with his earlier executive orders, and he has found that he can get away with anything. Congress has always done too little too late, and the Democrats are simply afraid of him and will do whatever he says, so any hope that Senate Democrats might join the minority GOP in objecting is in vain.
For everybody who cheerfully assured themselves and us that Obamacare was such a disaster that he would be handicapped for the next three years...think again. Every failure, scandal or crisis that he creates only seems to embolden him. But this is about the worst one yet.
I bet he was inspired to do this when he saw how well his shutdown of the national parks and public lands went. He has a Secretary of the Interior who will do anything he says and enact any tyrannical order he gives, and a legislature that is too powerless or terrified to do anything about it.
First thing I thought of...massive private land grabs. Find out who preppers and patriots are and just take their land! I have property with a small creek running across it surrounded by conservation trusts. Wasn’t that way 8 years ago when I bought the place. Really ramped up in the last 4 years.
