WASHINGTON (AP) — Confronted with missteps in his own administration, President Barack Obama has frequently pleaded ignorance — suggesting he could not be at fault about things he did not know.
It's an argument with clear benefits but also inherent risks for the White House. Used too often, the tactic emboldens critics who claim the president is incompetent, detached and not fully in control.

You can only CYA so long for someone and then ya have to just Move On.
I also never had a boss who wanted good news. They only wanted to know what was going wrong. What was going right is the minimum of what is expected of you.
The MSM is still trying so hard to carry his water for him. Flailing about for any excuse that makes him look even a tiny bit less incompetent than he is.
They won’t give him up until after the 2014 midterms because they have so much to lose, but shortly afterwards, I expect him to be tossed aside so Hillary! can begin her assault on what is left of the country.
Changing his vote from “present” to “not-present.”
“Eager to protect Obama’s time and concentration,...” for rounds of golf and vacations...
If we thought being called racist was bad,
wait until we're all sexists.
Although the article doesn’t say so, ISTM the implication is the Obama might be lying about what he knew, but we’re supposed to accept whatever he chooses to claim
The thing that is such bull about his “I didn’t know” defense is that I don’t believe I’ve heard another President utter those words as often as this schmuck has.
At what point do you stand up and take responsibility for what is going on in the country you run? I think his answer is never. Too busy taking vacations, golfing and having his Hollywood and rap artist a$$ kissers at special functions in the people’s house that they can’t even tour anymore.
Don't worry. Barack knows everything important. If Barack didn't know about it, it couldn't have been important.
This is interesting. AP is admitting that Bush didn’t know about the WMDs in Iraq, therefore he didn’t lie to the American people, which is a favorite liberal charge against him.
I don’t get why the public doesn’t go after the sponsors of the press till they STOP being an arm of the Democrat party to the tune of billions in press a year.
If there was a balanced fair press that just read the news instead of trying to make it or interpret it for us, could there ever be a majority of Democrats ever again in office anywhere? IMO the truthful answer would be a resounding NO!
So we need to go after the press and their sponsors for thirty years if need be.
Obama would be fully informed on every topic if he simply spent 30 minutes each morning on FreeRepublic.com. He wouldn’t need his aids to act as “flappers.” (Jonathan Swift; “Gulliver’s Travels.”)
He is full aware of all that is going on, which makes him the biggest liar the world as ever seen.
Barak Hussein Obama starring in:
The Man Who Knew Too Little
It’s the quaint story of an un-American, inexperienced, opinionated and egotistical man who seeks to radically change the greatest nation on God’s green earth and the mess that follows.
The AP is a liberals beard.
even his media supporters admit his claims of not knowing are simply “tactics”. On other words they think he is lying too, but it’s okay when he does it.
Onixon has taken "plausible deniability" to a whole new level.
