Sens. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) and Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii) have introduced the Pay Our Bills Act, which would “permanently allow Congress to disapprove debt ceiling increases, instead of approving them.” …

You can bet Schumer’s two little poodles, Juan and Lindsey, will be all over this like uncle Fred’s leg.

Nothing short of a citizen taking matters into his own hands is going to stop this. And for all the boasting from this forum, it won’t be a Freeper.

a true den of vipers for sure.

one side lies continuously and sells what they do as the polar opposite of what it is.

the otherside keeps verrry quiet until they perceive an opportunity to stab conservatives in the back while simultaneously feathering their GOPe power nest, then the’re suddenly a blur of action everywhere and shouting it from the hill tops.

you got to laugh; you just got to laugh.

(from the article):" Sens. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) and Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii) have introduced the Pay Our Bills Act,
which would “permanently allow Congress to disapprove debt ceiling increases, instead of approving them.”

I could agree with that , only with a counter offer of the bill : "What will Harry DO " .
Since Harry Reid is a great proponent of the pocket veto , and ignoring House bills, it would seem only fair .
The "What will Harry Do " , calls for the elimination of the entire Senate , except for Harry Reid , or the Speaker of the Senate office ,
and all the Senators relinquish all their salaries ,committees , staff ,travel expenses , and re-election contributions and perks and fringe benenfits to be tossed into the Treasury
to offset the increase of government spending since they haven't be doing their job ,nor passed a budget in the last four years.
It seems only fair since schumer,Boxer ,and Hirono want to eliminate the current "Checks and balances" of government identified in the Constitution.
As a 'perk" photo of all three of the senators, facing away from the camera with their pants down by their ankles, could be placed on the newly minted $3.oo bill,
which would then be called the 'BOHICA $3.oo dollar bill' , and bought up by the Federal Reserve under 'quantitative easing '.
