California Beach Bum Living Off Food Stamps For Years
You Tube ^ | 9 August, 2013 | Dylan

Here's an enlightening video from Fox News profiling the life of a California food stamp user.

They (rightfully) explain how Obama took away the food stamp restrictions and this allow able-bodied adults without children to get free food on our dime.

KEYWORDS: carepackages; endebt; endfoodstamps; foodstamps; leaches; survivalpacks
I found a thread where people were discussing this back in August, but no video. If it's a repost and I missed the original thread, my apologies.

End foodstamps/ebt cards. Have post office deliver basic survival food. If someone wants more, they can work.

That’s actually not a bad idea. Cans of beans, veggies, fruit... bags of rice and more beans. Maybe potatoes.

That’s what hubby and I ate for seven years while we were paying off our debt.

I imagine we have warehouses full to the brim of MREs and similar foodstuffs. I know that Red Cross and Salvation Army had a civilian equivalent for us during Hurricane Katrina that wasn’t bad and had a water activated food heater within. I really don’t think we should be feeding people, but if we are going to do that, they shouldn’t be eating lobster, steak, twinkies and cake.

If I was a liberal Democrat in 2013, I’d be laughing and pissing in everyone’s face too.

Able-bodied people who receive food stamps and other benefits should be required to perform community service (mowing grass, picking up trash, painting over graffiti), or spend time assisting those who are not able-bodied. But to laze around and do nothing? That is a shame. That deserves ridicule, stocks, incarceration, or deportation to Chicago.

The pursuit of happiness, as intended by our Founders, was not doing stuff to make you feel good like smoking weed to get high or banging every girl you see.

"Pursuit of Happiness" was a truncated term used by Thomas Jefferson to describe living a virtuous life so that you would be able to reach the final and highest Good which is God.

Pursuing "Happiness" results in eternity with our Creator.

The citizenry of the United States, much as we would like it to be, is not subject by law to the injunctions enjoined upon and practiced by Christ’s holy people. It is a fine civil objective to aim for gainful activity on the part of all. Even a good number of heathen know that. Work makes you free!

Agreed. The liberals keep saying we should all volunteer. Put these non-working folks to work planting trees, composting, running gardens and recycling.
And give them free injectible birth control so they can’t make more kids while they’re at it.

I was impressed with the red cross and the salvation army after Katrina. The red cross came down our street twice a day, in what looked like an ambulance, handing out hot meals.

Nancy Pelosi wants more of this. With O-care and EBT, free spirits can be free to pursue their free-spiritedness unencumbered by a job.

Throw in a big sweet onion and a pack of taco seasoning, that’s a staple around here. I do it in a 14 inch cast iron skillet, when it’s done I put a layer of cornbread mix on it and then in the oven at 450 for about 20 minutes.
