So what exactly would a “grandfathered” plan be?

To me, the grandfather concept is that you would be ok even if your existing plan doesn’t meet requirements.

If only plans that meet obamacare requirements are “grandfathered”, that’s not grandfathering.

according to some di**weed on Kelly’s show last night Grandfathered would be any plan that has not changed in any way since 2010 including cost and that would be NONE. I think he made this up like almost everything else he blathered. In typical fashion all he could do was quote the “law”. They make the laws then use our tradition of law abiding against us. Time for revolt. Past time for revolt.

Texas. My policy was cancelled. An 80/20 $5k deductible but with no pregnancy, abortion or birth control and such. These are things people entering their sixth decade really need.

Don’t know if anyone else has noticed but IRS is being very aggressive asserting all kinds of fees and penalties in a flurry of notices.

We are also suffering under increasingly burdensome regulations. I spent most of the day yesterday on compliance issues. “just fill out this form”

We have a rogue government and it is time to take up Jefferson’s charge to us.

Emblem Health cancelled my plan and I had to sign up for United Health Care plan. Premiums went up by about 150/mo. for less coverage and higher co-pays.
