Another good point, why did Robert have to write into the bill that it is a tax, when the IRS does collect penalties too?

Kasich is a sellout. He has expanded Medicaid under Obamacare to get the money even though his own legislature was against it. Obamacare will pay 100% of the additional costs of an expanded Medicaid for the first three years and then 90% thereafter.

The question is can you depend on a bankrupt federal government to keep its promises and what happens when the states must pick up the 10% three years from now? The states already pay 50% of the existing Medicaid costs. It is becoming the largest line item in their budgets along with education.

One of their most hated industries was Insurance which they deemed as unfair when a corrupt gummit can give it to you for free, so here we are more overpriced and underperforming bureaucracy to replace a perfectly well functioning free market system.

I disagree, our healthcare system was in need of reform and has not worked well for years. All due to prior government controls and interference. Mandated coverage, limiting who can sell within a state, the lack of tort reform and expanded government reporting requirements all drove up costs and lowered care over time. Otherwise, you're right.

Solutions to replace 0bamacare will be like putting toothpaste back in the tube. It's going to be difficult if not impossible. One item that will be required is to have an exit strategy for those people who did buy 0bamacare, getting them onto real insurance plans and off government care. One possible solution will be to block grant states who are saddled with Medicaid and let them handle it for the short run.

Not that it matters but I ALWAYS believed Rubio opposed it—I just couldn’t figure out why he was advocating something he opposed.

He was temporarily under the spell of Schumer's hypnotic vampire eyes. When the sun rose, Schumer was forced to return to the crypt and the spell over Rubio was broken.

I guess if CBS had Marlo Thomas it would be a trifecta.

Exactly it was an obama love-in. This guy knows he only exists because he is an FOA(friend of allah).Absent that his policy/company would be declared bad for zero care. Its all
BS crony capitalism at its worst hour.

The insurance companies are accomplices in Obamcare. They expect the government to provide them with millions of new customers who will be forced into buying their product.

Patrick J. Geraghty, chairman and CEO, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida, sounded like a typical Obama shill. This crony capitalism is truly frightening.

Most people seem to think that the insurance industry will be destroyed eventually by Obamacare and we will go into a single payer system--the objective all along.

I have no doubt that we are headed to a single payer system for everyone. We already have single payer for Medicaid (70 million people including those under the CHIPs program) and Medicare (47 million). Obamacare was projected to add 18 million more to Medicaid and with 10,000 people turning 65 every day for the next 20 years, Medicare numbers will double. Obamacare is the last piece of single payer health care.

But the private insurance companies will not be going away. 9 out of every 10 Medicare recipients have supplemental insurance. I can see people getting supplemental insurance to add to their Obamacare insurance. We will have a two tier system, a public and private one similar to what they have in Europe and every other country where they have single payer systems except for Canada and North Korea.

Obamacare is just another entitlement program that will add to the more than $70 trillion in unfunded liabilities. It will cost the taxpayers much more than projected. And it will give the government more control over our lives and the economy.

The Dems will not let Obamacare collapse nor will business, which wants to get decoupled from health care. Obama gave illegally big business a year's delay in paying the fines. The employer mandate could be delayed even further and the Reps will support it.

Reporting requirements alone should scare people. I can also envision patients being told they have not filled out the forms properly. Like are you registered to vote? Or what is your sexual preference? All could delay surgery.

That is their MO. They regulate it to the point of making all of their services overpriced and then they ride in to save the day with their Marxist solutions.

Now millions will be kicked off their plans they would have never been kicked off with uninsurability leaving one solution, bigger gummit.

Still, we haven't seen the media as whole dump on Obie like this in his 5 years, so we've got our nose under the tent finally. Given the disaster that is looming in the reality of ObieCare, we will knock the tent over, no matter how much the media tries to ignore it.

True just don't get used to it.

Once we get anywhere at all near the 2014 elections you will hear a completely different slant from the DBM and we all know it.

A month form now we will all be talking about what a bad guy John Boehner is for not taking up amnesty.

the commie dems are as slick as they come.

They know elections are won basically on the emotions of the moment--that one phrase uttered by someone with a great radio voice and never on hard facts that take more than a fifth grade education to understand. We need to learn it as well.

Senator McCain must be resting his chin this weekend...

The press loves a Republican willing to trash other Republicans. It's a turn-on for them. It's why they love McCain.

The same press hates Democrats who bash other dems. It's why there's NEVER a dem 'mavericks' on Sunday mornings. Not with with Chris Wallace - not with any of 'em. There's not even an identified dem 'maverick'. The press weed's 'em out on the dem side and waters and nourishes them on the our side.

This morning Wallace quoted a comment to Gov. Bobby Jindal about how he had once trashed Republicans ( years ago... whenever) but Wallace wanted to get this 'badge of honor' on record one more time. Wallace has NEVER done that with a democrat. NEVER.

Not that it matters but I ALWAYS believed Rubio opposed it—I just couldn’t figure out why he was advocating something he opposed. I’m gonna chalk it up to youth and maybe some bad advice.

You can make all the excuses you want for Rubio, Ryan, Cantor, McCain, Graham, etc. Rubio showed his true colors on comprehensive immigration reform. He wants to run for President in 2016 and he needs the money from big donors to do that. These big donors want more guest workers to help their bottom line.

When Rubio partners with Schumer, Durban, McCain, and Graham, you have to question his judgment at the very least. I am not about to give Rubio a pass for helping to pass a bill that will destroy this country with the stroke of a pen.

CIR is a far greater threat to this country than Obamacare, which is already the law of the land. It will not be repealed, but it may be fixed and the Reps will help do that.

I was an early supporter or Rubio. Met him in person, listened to him speak, looking at a photo of us right now. I was more than sold. I was true believer. You can spin his take on secure the border first and maybe make a case.

What can not be spun is his joining in the gang of eight. These guys are just not conservatives. They are rinos all. Hard to spin that any way you look at it.
