Elections comin’ ...
Why is any federal aid going to this? This is a job for the state, county, city, neighborhoods, churches and families.
Since Bush was pilloried over the alleged bad federal response to Katrina, why is Obama NOT similarly being pilloried over the bad federal response to Sandy????
Or, is this a case in which the liberals decide that only Republicans are to be lambasted when we politicize natural disasters????
I don’t see how the liberals got away with politicizing Katrina against Bush. The governor of Louisiana at the time was Democrat, as was Mayor Ray “Chocolate City” Nagin. Yet in spite of these local officials being Democrats, it was a Republican president who was blamed.
That just means that there wasn’t much need for federal money in the first place. Federal disaster management is way over-rated.
Traditionally, cities, counties, states do their own with the feds in the background giving assistance as requested. No one wants to be pilloried like Bush was so now they throw money at whatever happens. But the money doesn’t get spent on the disaster anyway.
Fixed.
Moochelle’s buddy has disbursed about ONE PERCENT of her filthy loot.
Maybe she, too, will have her own Africa trip for $100 million...?
BO THE DOG HAD HIS OWN OSPREY TILT ROTAR AIRCRAFT...!!
I wonder what all the doctors that are being engulfed with bammycare are thinking when they see things like this?
Tell that to the Gov of NJ’s wife who likes to ask the public for donations on tv ads. Ask her where the money is that should go to the people?
Think it’s time to ask Chris Christie? He admitted that he embraced Obama for the big bucks he got out of it. Basically betraying his party and his country for an empty promise from Obama. He can’t be Pres.
According to one of the claimants in the article:
............At first glance, Nicole and Steve Chati’s one-story house in Staten Island’s New Dorp Beach looks unscathed. But a rotten foundation makes it a total loss.............
That didn’t rot because of Sandy. That was rotten for years!
Why should this A-hole get a penny of federal or state aid for his rotted foundation?
I overheard a whole group of teachers this past week in the teachers’ lounge discussing the rebuilding of their Sandy-destroyed homes. It seems that they have not been receiving the Federal or insurance funds to which they were entitled, and so the rebuilding of their homes is quite delayed. Also, the contractors hired by the government are not showing up or are working at a snail’s pace. Many of the teachers are still living in rentals.
