Since Bush was pilloried over the alleged bad federal response to Katrina, why is Obama NOT similarly being pilloried over the bad federal response to Sandy????

Or, is this a case in which the liberals decide that only Republicans are to be lambasted when we politicize natural disasters????

I don’t see how the liberals got away with politicizing Katrina against Bush. The governor of Louisiana at the time was Democrat, as was Mayor Ray “Chocolate City” Nagin. Yet in spite of these local officials being Democrats, it was a Republican president who was blamed.

The imagery simply isn't there.

For good or bad.

Sure, Sandy has its share of imagery. But, New Orleans and the surrounding area was already zombie land. The Hurricane just made it worse.

Contrast Gov. Christie’s response to Sandy (both before & after the storm) to that in Louisiana; granted, he may have learned from Katrina, but he made sure everybody knew that some bad sh!t was coming.

New Orleans is still a mess; I don’t think anyone has been clear to former residents that many areas will never be rebuilt (they’re uninsurable). NJ hasn’t completely recovered, but they’ve come a long way in a year.
