Democratic mayoral candidate for New York City Bill de Blasios campaign released an ad Thursday slamming billionaire Republican donors the Koch brothers.
Dont let the Koch Brothers buy the election, the ad says, which also labels the David and Charles Koch as a pair who spent hundreds of millions of dollars trying to defeat President Obama.
Theyre back. And now theyve set their sights on New York City, the ad continues.
The ad follows a court decision Thursday that will now allow a conservative political action committee, that supports Republican mayoral candidate Joe Lhota, to accept unlimited contributions.
In a statement De Blasio campaign spokeswoman Lis Smith said, The stakes are too high to let the same Republican extremists who shut down the government hijack the mayoral election.
The ad further says that the Koch brothers gave hundreds of thousands of dollars to Super PACs trying to elect extreme right-wing ideologues here in New York City and says the court decision will allow millions of more dollars to be injected into campaigns to elect their tea party friends.
The election for New York City mayor will be held Nov. 5.
As if the Koch Brothers give a crap about who governs NYC.
You just can’t make this stuff up. This comes out just when it is announced that GEORGE SOROS has already given money to Hillary? Wow.
“Koch bros want to buy vote”
I sure hope so!...........
The Koch brothers are Libertarians, not Republicans. And De Blasio a a !@%$@!# communist.
How can they? George Soros already owns it...
But Billy Boy is just fine with Bloomy, the N Y midget, trying to buy the Virginia governorship for his firearm stealing buddy - right?
David Koch lives in NYC, is its wealthiest resident, and is a top benefactor of everything from Lincoln Center to New York-Presbyterian Hospital to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I bet he cares who the mayor is.
I didn't know that. I thought the brothers still resided in Wichita.
My mistake.
"Theyre back. And now they've set their sights on New York City," the ad continues. The ad follows a court decision Thursday that will now allow a conservative political action committee, that supports Republican mayoral candidate Joe Lhota, to accept unlimited contributions.Wow, obviously another piece of completely nonpartisan jurisdiction.
Is Bill De Blasio an anti-Semite? It’s a good thing Ed Koch isn’t around to see this, or he might become a target, too.
Why do you say that? The Koch brothers aren't Jewish.
“Hizzoner,” Ed Koch was a Jew of Polish descent.
Correct. But Charles and David Koch, who DeBlasio is attacking, aren't Jews.
