Just read Greek and Roman history.
Not exactly true. Eliminate the university that exist because of subsidies and the local economy just about disappears. It is the non-university communities that are paying $100 to get back $15.
49% are on the dole, and more than 1.1% work for the government, so we’re screwed.
Not as much as some seem to think. Its kind of like being in a union. If you’re weak, you’ll go along with the union way but I was always conservative even as a union member so it really had no effect. I think the attitudes are predetermined.
One of my neighbors just showed me the letter he got announcing the cut in his food stamps. He was complaining but not about the $11 cut. His complaint was over the democrats trying to pin it on the GOP when the letter clearly states that the cut is a result of the stimulus money running out.
Yes and again, the author doesn't appear to account for this. It would also strengthen the correlation but isn't in his statistical base.
So the University only exists because people are robbed at gunpoint by government? There is no market for it? Then maybe the University doesn’t deserve to exist?
There is a market that has been greatly inflated by government robbing people at gun point to subsidize the inflated salaries of the university staff through inflated tuition paid for by subsidized loans. This strengthens the conclusion of the article though it is not measured and practically dismissed by the author.
Of course parasites are going to vote for bigger government and getting the unearned, the undeserved, and something for nothing. But why do productive people, who are the sacrificial victims of this policy, vote for it? They mistakenly believe that the consumption of the government or of private non producing consumers at home or abroad benefits and helps to support the economic system. But, those who take and produce nothing in return are destructive, because the only economic benefit that one can give to producers consists in the exchange of one’s own products or services for their products or services. It is by means of what one produces and offers in exchange that one benefits producers, not by means of what one consumes.
After the 2008, and the 2012 elections, obviously you don’t get it.
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Government dependency is what keeps the slacker machine going.
