GOP: IRS picks Obamacare over regular taxpayers

The IRS said this week it is delaying the start of the tax filing season, leading Republicans to argue that the agency is putting its focus on implementing Obamacare at the expense of helping average taxpayers.

The IRS blamed the government shutdown, saying that when it furloughed 90 percent of its employees it lost too many work days to begin processing returns on time in January. But House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp said the IRS this year was able to begin processing returns on time despite major changes to tax laws in the "fiscal cliff" deal Congress and President Obama reached at the New Year. This year, there have been no major tax law changes, Mr. Camp said.

"While the IRS says it cannot start the filing season on time, somehow it found the most essential operation to be the implementation of the president's health care law," Mr. Camp said. "The IRS needs to explain why implementing the president's health care law is more important than processing tax returns in a timely manner."

This is part of an orchestrated plan by Democrats to paint the 2013 Shutdown as equal to 9/11.

This is incorrect. Earlier this year (2013) the IRS delayed accepting and processing Tax Returns for 2012 by at least a week for simpler Returns and 4 weeks for more complicated Returns.

Chairman Dave Camp should know better. The IRS couldn’t finalize 2012 Tax Forms and make changes to their computer systems since Congress was still voting on proposed 2012 tax laws on January 2, 2013.

Since the budget and debt limit negotiations involve tax laws, the IRS is probably going to end up delaying processing 2013 Returns even longer. Congress is setting up an excuse for when those Obama supporters who expect refunds and Earned Income Credit in early February have to wait.

The reason 0vomitcare is being run by the IRS is because the socialist plan is to link health care with taxes and voting. If you are not paying taxes into the system, or if you are taking more out in benefits than you are paying in taxes, you will not receive health care. Those who are a drain on the system will be dealt with by terminating them. They won’t send a firing squad, they will just delay medical treatment until you die. This will be applied to Republican voters first, but eventually they will have to start terminating the democrat welfare voters who are consuming resources, too.
