It is all part of the plan. Democrats passed it without one single Republican vote. Yet now they will ask for more money and when the Republicans say “no” the dems will blame the Republicans for the failure of Obamacare. And you know who will go along with this? John Sidney McCain will be on show after show validating this crap. Before you know it the MSM will no longer be referring to it as Obamacare but as Boehnercare and the low information crowd will suck it up hook line and sinker.

The way government typically works, the funding to fix the website will be more than the original cost of the website — and the original cost was just over $600 million.

This [the website, exclusive of Obamacare in general] is becoming the Obama Billion Dollar Blunder.

Only a suggestion here...but since this is fresh new money for something we already paid for...I’d suggest to invent a new tax on software development companies and just pass the buck on down the line. Make it a nineteen percent tax for one year...just like that fancy medical appliance tax they invented...and shower the IT industry with the same pains as everyone else.

Governments pretty much tend to f*ck up anything and everything they touch.

Marxists never learn this simple fact, however, and our brain dead president clearly has never gleaned anything from even the most casual and simple-minded review of history such as an elementary student might make.

RE :” Rubio proposes delaying the individual mandate to prevent them from suffering an unjust penalty, but if Democrats agreed to do that, it would wreak more immediate havoc on the insurance industry than fixing the website would”

Rub’s right here. Delaying just the personal mandate not only sounds good to the average American but it will cause more problems for Obamacare as only the will sign up to get their expenses paid.

Heck, Obama could be forced to do it himself, that could be good too as only Obamas finger prints are on it..

1) defunding it was never a real possibility
2) Delaying the whole bill could help Obama in the long run.
3) Delaying just the mandate is devious.

More money! More money! When do we want it? Now! What a freak show! Bailing out these “insurance companies” is going to make the auto industry bailout look like a garage sale.

This is the only way liberals deal with their failures like the War on Poverty. Keep throwing more money into the sewer and hiring more liberals to spend more money. p>

Only “hundreds” have been able to sign up for a health care plan at the Obamacare websites. The Wall Street Journal reported:

Okay now we will try the landline # 1-800-318-2596 listed above or 1-800-318-2596 = 1-800-FAU-CKYO.

Inspite of the Daily ObozoScamScare Trainwrecks, the ObozoScamScare Outhouse Band continues to play on:

I’d suggest to invent a new tax on software development companies and just pass the buck on down the line.

Why punish them for something they didn't do? Yes, an IT company effed up the website, but not every IT company.

Shared misery is the goal of socialism/communism.

I heard a stat today that for what has already been spent they could pay for 5000 years worth of man hours at 200 bucks a pop.

That is off by an order of magnitude. Five thousand man-years (approximately 10 million man/hours) at $200/hour would be over $2 billion. Five hundred man-years at the same cost would be $200 million, which is on the low end of the cost estimates I have heard. So figure between 500-1500 man years, depending upon which cost estimate you believe.

A person can buy arguably the best designed car on the market and then spend ten times again as much to take it apart and sabotage every single component.
Use water for brake fluid, use aluminum wiring with acid flux soldering, use seawater for coolant, inflate the tires with hydrogen, the windshield is made from sugar.

Of course they need more money, cause it cost more to pay a person to deliberately create negatives, and then their is bribes to keep shut about it.

There are SO many analogies that Republicans could liken this Obamacare roll-out to, if they only had some kind of leader that could grab the headlines.

"If your car is a lemon, you don't spend another two grand on chromed spinner wheels and a Bose speaker system!"

"If your house is a money pit, and its foundation is riddled with termite infestation, you don't drop fifty thousand to put in granite countertops and walnut cabinets."

Sooner or later, Republicans have to say, enough is enough. We can't keep throwing good money after bad.
