After a speech in which President Obama failed to discuss how he was going to fix Obamacare, save for providing a 1-800 number to call, which was not working during and immediately after his speech, White House press secretary Jay Carney went on to have a pretty rough press briefing.
When ABCs Jonathan Karl asked Carney, If the website is not fixed, will people still need to pay the fine? Carney refused to answer, saying that we were three weeks into a six-month long process and implying that we need not worry about this hypothetical. You cant really charge people a fine for not getting health insurance if you dont fix this mess, Karl said. Carney did not say if he agreed.
Karl then asked Carney about the main contractor that built the website, CGI, and why they were hired after being fired by a provinvial health agency of Ontario, Canada. Carney again refused to answer, referring him to Health and Human Services.
Later, a reporter asked if the Obamacare website was beta-tested before it was launched, and though Carney knows what beta tested means, he could only say that there was no question that the website has not performed up to expectations.
Geez...there are so many possibilities, how can you pick just one???
>>> Jay Carneys Worst Press Briefing?
How can anyone tell?
It stopped being amusing to see him squirm A LOOOOOONG Time ago.
Somebody should compile his facial expressions to post on youtube, I’ll bet it would be an instant hit.
So many to choose from ...
He doesn’t ever answer anything and usually no one says a word. I am surprised an ABC reporter was asking real questions, that reporter may find himself off the list of reporters allowed to report on the President or whatever it is actually called.
Did he have his “deer in the headlights” look?
I have to admit I’d probably have it too if I had to be a spokesman for The One.
.
Great question, Karl!
Meet Toni Townes-Whitley, Senior Vice President at CGI Federal for Civilian Agency programs. (She's the one in the middle.)
Was CGI an affirmative-action hire by HHS?
Was it a race-trumps-competence hire?
Was it a crony hire?
We report, you decide.
The media will cover for him.
It's good to be on the commie team.
What a highly diverse group!
not a white guy to be seen
Isn’t the one on the right the fainter ?
RE: You cant really charge people a fine for not getting health insurance if you dont fix this mess, Karl said.
Carney: “They are not being fined. Just ask Justice Roberts.”
“Was CGI an affirmative-action hire by HHS?”
“Was it a race-trumps-competence hire?”
“Was it a crony hire?”
Yes, yes and...yes.
It’s always entertaining when an idiot defends a turd.
So, judging by that photo they designed Obamacare in a black woman’s garage?
>> judging by that photo they designed Obamacare in a black womans garage?
heh... well, there’s no *proof* of that, however, there IS evidence. :-)
There’s also evidence that it was coded by the proverbial thousand monkeys with typewriters.
Couldn’t happen to a more despicable man.
>> the alpha test was truncated in the rush to beat launch deadlines
Taking a page out of the Demonrat Congress playbook, they simply “deemed the software to have been tested” so they could move on.
