The relations of power in the world are constantly changing. Good managers know this and are always looking for a wave to catch and ebbs to avoid. Timing in statecraft is very important, but it is something the president seems to lack. What has kept Obama from catastrophe is the unexpected success of everything he discounts, from the tactical skill of the US military to the resilience of all sectors he considers back numbers. He proceeds instead from a kind of fixed idea.
President Obamas policies have from the beginning been dogged by a curious kind of obsolescence, as if he were planning the future on the basis of trends which were new fifty years ago. He held up Spain as the model for Green Jobs at a time when that country was already beginning to collapse. He pushed Obamacare with the fervor of a 1950s socialist even as the welfare state model of the EU teetered from demographic rot, held up only by the printing presses of the Federal Reserve.
He became enamored of Muslim Brotherhood only to discover that the populations of the Middle East had passed them by. His Secretary of State, John Kerry, is even now trying to solve the puzzle of peace in the Middle East by brokering an irrelevant agreement between Palestine and Israel, as if the world were back in 1947. And now, after finding the Saudis have left his wagon train, almost while he wasnt looking, the president has hitched his wagon to Teheran a decade late.
Hes right on schedule to implement Obamacare in about 3 years time **snip**
Obama sold himself to the voters as the candidate of the future. His real talent however, apparently lies in missing every opportunity that history presents.

The only thing he can do is effectively destroy his domestic opponents, and that only because the MSM is totally blind, totally fawning, and totally in his corner. The man could slaughter an Ambassador on live TV and they wouldn't report it..........he could have the worst economic recovery since the Great Depression and they would say how wonderful it is..........in the meantime he destroys everything he touches.
Face it! He doesn’t care! His job is to destroy Americas greatness and he is doing just fine. The Limbaugh Theorem is valid.
Limbaugh's other worthless contribution, the "low information voter" is yet another example of this "hey look at me, I preach to the choir every day" talk show host blather passing as "analysis"... even Limbaugh is too gutless to call the ignorant, parasitic, and apathetic $hit-for--brains that vote for the Demonic Party what they are. They aren't seeking, nor do they care about informing themselves; they only want "their stuff".
Read Dr. Paul Kengor’s book: The Communist: Frank Marshall Davis, The Untold Story of Barack Obamas Mentor.
I also realize, he IS willing to destroy things, just that he's clueless about most things other than destroying his domestic opponents, and that, as I said before, would be impossible without the entire MSM helping to make us see his turds as gold nuggets, burying every incompetent thing he does.
Nothing has kept Obama from catastrophe but what is kept him from a general recognition of his malfeasance is his skin color. The media covers for Obama at every misstep because they are invested in the historicity of the first African-American president.
The assertion that, "he proceeds instead from a kind of fixed idea" is absolutely true. This is not news to anyone familiar with these threads. We have been defining Obama as a convicted Marxist since before he was sworn in.
I think what's new here, from a center right media perspective, is the writer is belittling the stupidity, ineptness, and retrograde nature of this man. Turning the Alinsky tactic back on him is something we need to do a lot more, literally bringing forth a constant steam of ridicule. It differs from the Alinsky tactic in this way: knowing that his ineptness and stupidity is actually true.
Yours is the most worthless post of the day. Try decaf.
