Though he disagrees with the ruling, a spokesman for Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J.) said Friday afternoon that he will cooperate with a New Jersey state Supreme Court ruling that makes gay marriage legal in the state beginning on Monday.
"The Supreme Court has made its determination," Christie's press secretary, Michael Drewniak, said in a statement.
"While the Governor firmly believes that this determination should be made by all the people of the State of New Jersey, he has instructed the Department of Health to cooperate with all municipalities in effectuating the order of the Superior Court under the applicable law."

“Who wanted this clown nominated anyways?”
If he runs he will likely be nominated by the GOP for POTUS. The same gang that caved and opened the government will love Christie.
We need to unify behind a single conservative this time. No more protracted Gingrich-Santorum fight. that’s why we got Mitt Romney the last time and that’s how we’ll get Chris Christie this time.
I gotta admit... sometimes I can't figure out FR keywords.
While I agree with you 100% ... I’ll believe it when I see it. The problem is the RINOs outnumber us and they will shove a Christie, etc at us, control the media narrative and then run against Hillary and lose.
Yeah. Should be fun.
I don't know the history of this issue in NJ. But certainly Christie understands voter referendums, not that voters were given a choice in this matter.
He defunded Planned Parenthood in NJ, he’s been pro-life, he has danced around on other issues, appointed some gay to an office. Nothing wrong with evaluating someone’s record honestly and no, he shouldn’t pal around with Obama, may have swung the election to Obama.
Christie sounds just like Romney on this issue.
Yup, your analysis rings completely true. The media will Christie into the limelight because they know he’d lose. Exactly what they did with Romney, putting out the claim that Romney was a formidable candidate and that the Democrats feared he’d get the nomination. At the time, I told some friends to remember the tale of the wily Brer Rabbit, who pleaded with the naive ones he was manipulating, “Oh, no, whatever you do, don’t throw me into the briar patch.” Conservatives, themselves being straight shooters in life, didn’t consider that possibility and that lack made the difference in their wrong choice of nominee.
