Interesting, if infuriating account of the recent shutdown battle from a decidedly beltway perspective.

Translation: “I would have folded sooner, but those damned Teabaggers managed to delay our surrender.”

“...I got overrun, that’s what happened,” Boehner said....”

No, John... you folded.

You should have taken a lesson from Nancy Pelosi on how to use that position. But you weren’t paying attention.

So you folded. Rolled over and peed on your belly like a scared puppy.

http://www.usaprepares.com/government-corruption-2/all-national-parks-are-closed-signs-put-up-only-eight-to-ten-hours-after-the-government-shut-down

(Snip)
In less than 8 hours of the shutdown, miraculously, professionally printed 3X4 foot signs appeared all over the country in the tens of thousands saying-“this [park, facility, etc. with custom logos] closed due to government shutdown. There has not been a government shutdown in 17 years. These signs were designed, specifications were determined, signs were then requisitioned, bids were posted and vetted, government contracts were awarded. The materials were then ordered and the signs manufactured then distributed U.S. Mails or freight companies.

This shutdown was orchestrated and planned well in advance at least 6-8 months ago. Millions of tax dollars were appropriated and spent in this process. There is a paper trail a mile long leading directly to the White House.

Tammy Faye would have caved in immediately if Cruz, Lee and the conservative caucus in the House hadn’t tape a popsicle stick to his back and told him it was a spine.

“John, what happened?” Obama asked, according to people briefed on the Oct. 2 conversation.

Of course, the correct answer is, "Baraq, you shut down the government. That's what happened."

Goodbye, "Speaker" Boehner.

Boehner’s opposition to Obama is FAKE.

Throw Boehner, McConnell, McCain out of the party.

It was a pickup truck cruzing with two occupants and Texas plates wasn't it, John?

"The proposal was dubbed the “Cantor plan,” after House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.), who came up with the idea. Then, Boehner would’ve had Republicans fight hard on the debt ceiling, using the sequester as a bargaining chip against Obama."

"As long as he had sequester spending levels, Ryan told colleagues on the House floor, he thought he could complete an entitlement and tax reform deal."

Last Wednesday I voted for Lonegan for Senate. That was the last vote the Republicans will ever get from me until they stop using the US military as a pawn.

I will never, ever vote for another Republican again until they STOP USING THE MILITARY AS A F%^&&%$ "bargaining chip."

The Sequester has punished the military, and threatens to devastate it.

Read the report yourself if you don't believe it.

Screw the GOP. I am outraged and ashamed of them.

They REFUSE to tackle runaway entitlement spending (the real cause of our debt and deficit) and instead to continue to use and abuse our warriors and the institution they have served. No one, and no group, has sacrificed and done more in the last 12 years than them, and yet, they are abused and used like garbage.

This must be true. Politico is neutral and just reports the truth; the majority of which is embarrassing to the GOP and conservatives.

It’s because they’re troglodytes, ignorant, gun and bible clinging hill billies. (no offense meant to real life hill billies)

The lashing humbled Cruz, who began to take a quieter role in the intervening days. But he continued to push forward on strategy that Republicans had essentially left for dead. At one point, Cruz told GOP senators that they should force votes on bills to fund individual agencies and programs, like on veterans issues. But McConnell bluntly told Cruz that Republicans had no procedural way of doing that. In fact, he asked Laura Dove, McConnell’s chief floor expert, to explain to Cruz how Republicans were prohibited from taking such a parliamentary tactic.

A genius he is not. Even I knew that tactic was prohibited by Senate rules. You would think he could read the rules of the place that pays him $174,000 a year (even during a shutdown).

United States Senate Rules and Procedures

The Dems had embarrassing information on Gingrich and then his successor Bob Livingston. Is there much doubt they have similar information on Boehner, Graham and McCain? (Well maybe not McCain, he is just nuts.)
