One would hope a new cash for treatment industry would crop up in response to Obama-care. Then when they find something serious you can sign up for an insurance plan to get treatment.

Simplest solution as the IRS is not allowed to punish you for not paying it. Everyone keeps saying this, but really, how long do you think it'll be before they actually do punish you? It's inevitable.

Most people file taxes electronically now. Will TurboTax ask if you want to pay this optional penalty for not having insurance?
