Obama will be an actual dictator if he tells the Treasury Secretary to default and refuses to pay the debt service.

Virginia USED to be one of those states.
We’ve been conquered/purchased/infected by that alien nation on our northern border known as DC. And they are on the side of evil.
As a long time VA resident myself, I recently sent Ken Cuccinelli an idea for an ad to advance his campaign.
All he needs to do is paint Terry McAuliffe as someone that wants to make Virginia more like Maryland.
This idea will resonate among all Virginians, both democrats and independents.
He needs to exploit the culture clash that exists.
The media is no longer monolithic. Where is the conservative media? Where is Foxnews? They are blowing away the competition and MSNBC the Obama’s little Goebbel channel is not even in the same league. We’ve beaten them before and the method through which is was accomplished is well documented. The problem is we have a party leadership unwilling for some reason to invest the effort to truly defeat Obama and his minions. We beat them over and over again in Blue Wisconsin, we beat them all over the country in 2010, and 1994. Its a matter of political will nothing more. We need to stop fearing the media and start attacking them and their credibility every chance we get. Plus people like John McCain and Peter King need to be totally reduced to nonentities for their continued betrayal.
Of course. Why else would the Democrats continue to spend money we don’t have and build up unsustainable levels of debt unless they plan to crash the economy in order to install a new form of government. This is a dream come true for them - the economy crashes and the media makes sure the Republicans get blamed - can’t get any better scenario for Obama.
I spent a bit of time thinking about your idea but I think you miss the point that the GOP has nothing to lose too. If we get an accelerated nannystate we get more pain and more pain means greater chance of backlash. Its happening in France and the UK and they are not known for being right wing centers of power by any means. We don’t win by a slow and steady nanny state. We don’t win by making Obamacare’s implementation easy or just trying to count on it to fail. We need to stay on the offense and if the President doesn’t blink he will pay a price as will we all. The worst it could do is bring us closer to an outright rebellion and I’m not sure that is a bad thing anymore.

Rove is out repeating the same default meme. What you have is the "Establishment"--Republicans, Democrats, corporate moochers and their lobbyists, and other special interests--who have a vested interested in the status quo DC has been operating under for the past 20 or more years.
Yes - and emphasize that McAuliffe wants to take away our gun rights - as VA is one of the best states on its gun laws - open carry, etc.
The role of the States in all of this is being ignored. Everybody is making this sound like “little guy versus federal behemoth” but the States will come into play sooner rather than later, I believe.
To be clear, secession is and has been the only out.
But not until a state creates it’s own currency will it make any difference.
Texas or North Dakota could begin to issue their own currency based on Oil.
Until then, we will be at the mercy of the FED and its printing press. This administrations unstoppable need to spend more money in order to “provide” for the needy.
