Rep. Peter King: 'We Have to Start Going After Ted Cruz by Name'

(CNSNews.com) - If Congress passes legislation deferring a decision on the debt ceiling and stopgap government funding, Republicans should anticipate another crisis in six to eight weeks, Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) said on Monday.

"We have to anticipate Ted Cruz is going to try to do this again. Ted Cruz and 30 or 40 people in the House. And we have to start going after him by name. I've been doing it all along. I wish I had more company on it."

King said "we just can't have" Republicans or Ted Cruz second-guessing the final outcome of the current stalemate.

"What's going to happen, months from now, after this is resolved, he's going to say, 'Republicans were on the edge of winning. But they lost their nerve in the end, and they caved in. This time it's going to work.' I think he's going to rewrite history. And we have to make sure he doesn't do it. And it's really time to speak out against him. And also again, there's about 30 or 40 (conservatives) in the House who are going to go with him. We can't let John Boehner and Eric Cantor be put into this position again. They told us in mid-September this would be a disaster."

King said Republicans all over the country are going to suffer because of what Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) has done: "I don't care where you're from, what Ted Cruz is doing is affecting the entire country."

King said "there's no doubt that Democrats are winning" right now, but he also said that President Obama needs to "play a more aggressive role" in bringing the two sides together. - See more at: http://cnsnews.com/news/article/susan-jones/rep-peter-king-we-have-start-going-after-ted-cruz-name#sthash.GiHprG4W.dpuf

Ted Cruz was elected by the people of the state of Texas to represent them in the Senate of the United States of America.

Don't like it? Tough.

Idiot RINO’s. The liberals will never be taken to task as long as the linguini spined moderates controlling the GOP are in charge. The Democrats know that in a game of political chicken the GOP always backs down first so that’s why the president took a hard line stance during the shutdown. He and Reid and Pelosi are just waiting for them to knuckle under, either today or tomorrow, and then we’re back to square one. Obamacare stays in place, no cuts to entitlement programs, the debt ceiling is raised, and the Democrats get one over on the GOP again. The Dems get a huge victory while the clueless GOP leadership thinks they saved the country only to see the media blame them for the shutdown. I would love to sit in on a high stakes poker game with Boehner and McConnell as my opponents because I know they would fold and I’d walk away with a ton of money. It’s exactly what the president, Reid, and Pelosi have done in this political game of poker involving the shutdown.

Only someone who is a moderate could classify Senator Ted Cruz and most of FreeRepublic as Hard-Right.

I would classify Sen. Susan Collins (of Maine) as a so-called "moderate Republican." (Actually, centrist would be a better term, in my opinion, since "moderate" implies that those to the right of the person in question are immoderate--i.e. extremist.)

I would classify Rep. King as center-right.

And I most often agree with him.

But not on this issue. Clearly, he has chosen to pick a fight with Sen. Cruz. And internecine warfare among the Republicans is not a good thing.

How about being a fund raiser and bag man for the IRA bombers?

"Do these RINOs ever go after any Dems?"

No like the phoney conservative trolls on Free Republic, who never go after the Dems and only attack all Republicans. They are probably paid by some $oreA$$ group like King.

“Peter King is the biggest a-hole in Congress. NExt to him John McCain and Linda Graham look brilliant!”

Just a little editing: Peter King is the biggest a-hole in Congress. Next to him John McCain and Linda Graham look like losers in a contest to be highschool Prom Queens. After not making Prom Queens, they became lifelong menopausal Drama Queens.

From his website:

“Congressman Peter T. King, a Republican, is serving his eleventh term in the U.S. House of Representatives.”

Says it all!!!!! Another entrenched incumbent pest who is divorced from the freality of ordinary citizenship.
