Scarborough: 'Very Real Chance' Cruz Will Run For President As Independent In 2016
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 10/14/2013 6:25:56 AM PDT by governsleastgovernsbest

Did you really have to be a pluperfect political prognosticator to have foreseen that none of Herman Cain, Michelle Bachmann or Donald Trump was going to be the 2012 Republican presidential nominee?

Yet on today's Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough—by way of establishing his fortune-telling street cred—boasted of having made those predictions, before proceeding to claim that: 1. Ted Cruz will not be the 2016 Republican nominee; and 2. there's a "very real chance" that Cruz will break from the GOP and run as an independent. View the video

Scarborough says Cruz can’t win 2016 GOP nomination; good chance he’ll run as independent. Ping to Today show list.

Why would we want to run as independents? That is stupid. We have several candidates who can win. This idiot and other MSMs are trying to make Cruz out to be a non-team player.

RINO Joe was a big Romney supporter until he voted in the primary for Ron Paul.

I'll bet he voted for Obama in the general .

Payback is bi%C& Joey. I’d rather split the party and vote on principle than vote for another cowardly republican every again.

By the way — Ted Cruz’s unfavorables are the same as obama’s. Stupid republicans just don’t get it.

Deliverance Banjo Boy is running as a twice-divorced moron with a dead woman in his district office and a burning desire to get into Nina's knickers.

We have several candidates who can win.

Name one. I'm open to being convinced.

If we nominate Juan McCain, Mitt Romney or Bob Dole again, forget it.

The Republican Party is dead to me. Henceforth, I will only support individuals.

Like Ted Cruz.

Way too early. There are mid-term primaries and a mid-term election first.

Cruz’s “assigned team” in our two party system is the Republican party. The MSM doesn’t have to make Cruz out to be a non-team player. He isn’t a team player - within the Republican party. He’s not interested in furthering the interests of the Republican party because those interests are all-too-often the interests of the liberal Left.

His “actual team” is the American people.

They were trying to push the fat RINO Christie as the GOP nominee in 2016 on CNBC this morning. That will assure Hillary’s win, of course.

Precisely, what the libs are afraid of — a tough, conservative GOP without the likes of Juan M. and Linda G.
