I do wonder, however that when the gates were taken to the WH, what rationale was used to pile them up outside the palace fence, and not to heave them right over the fence onto the front lawn.
Well.... they didn't want to get shot. Which, I guarantee you, would have happened had they thrown the barrycades over the WH fence.
The armed uniformed secret service officer standing next to the pile.
There’s things you can do but do not touch the fence.
“..., what rationale was used to pile them up outside the palace fence, and not to heave them right over the fence onto the front lawn....”
Because piling them up IN FRONT of the fence is Peaceful Protest.
Heaving them OVER the fence is an attack and an act of violence. Especially to nervous LEOs who are already in ready-to-go mode.
Actions, like words, mean things.
I believe it would be classified as an attack on the White House, and thereforre a Felony...
I believe it is classier to make big piles of the things outside where it can be seen, and require a reaction by authorities to clear those piles...
But then again, if they go right back up...Are there going to be fewer people tomorrow to take them right back down???
Seems to me the government is hoping people get tired of this game and therefore win by default...
Let’s see what happens tomorrow...Someone, somewhere is going to react in a not s nice way, and do something really stupid...and it won’t be one of the people taking the barry-cades down...It’ll be one of the shmups guarding these open-air facilities...
I hope someone realizes that a can of worm you have better not open...it’ll be on then...
