Yes, that is what I had in mind. People with (usually) a mutation in the androgen receptors that prevent them from developing normally as males can live their whole life as a female and learn about their condition only when they fail to mature at puberty.
It must be a devastating diagnosis for a teenager.
And it affects about .00047 of the population, or slightly less than 5/10,000ths of the entire population, and even then is more and less severe, and even then STILL has a Y chromosome. And since the school age cohort is about 5-18 years of age, that means the incidence in a school is about 1/10,000ths of the school age population.
So let’s base what we do on something so rare that you don’t find even one in the school systems of most of America.
A guy who has undergone genital mutilation surgery is still a guy. It is impossible for him to ever live as a true woman.
I guess, though, it *would* give an advantage if he wants to call himself a woman and compete in women’s sports. It is awfully unfair to real women, however.
He wants to be a girl, a good pocket knife and the will to use it should do 99% of the work.
Those parents who say they care about their children then keep them in public school are, at the very least, hypocritical.
Screw up the whole society for that one in ten million. It is the only fair way. The extremely rare exception's rights trump the rights of everyone else in a fair society and the entire society must change so that that one can be the normal person.
