Law: An Obama official at the heart of the Pigford reparations scheme sues the widow of the crusading conservative who exposed her and a multibillion-dollar redistribution scam to African-American farmers.
Hell hath no fury like an Obama administration official exposed for corruption or racism. On Wednesday, news broke that Shirley Sherrod, the former USDA official whose speech before an NAACP group revealing her angst about helping a white farmer got her fired, has decided to amend her lawsuit against the late Andrew Breitbart to name Andrew's widow and mother of four, Susie Bean Breitbart.
As Christian Adams recounts on PJ Media, Sherrod, in a 2010 speech before an NAACP awards dinner, admitted she was reluctant to help a white farmer because he was white. Sherrod said she didn't help as she could have, and instead took him to "one of his own kind."
Breitbart, who exposed the Pigford scandal from which Sherrod personally benefited, posted a video clip of Sherrod's statement. She subsequently resigned from the Agriculture Department.
Later, in February 2011, she filed a defamation suit against Breitbart and his producer and aide Larry O'Connor, claiming the video damaged her reputation and prevented her from continuing her work.
On March 1, 2012, Breitbart died of a heart attack at the age of 43. Yet Sherrod's case was allowed to continue, while O'Connor and the unnamed John Doe remained defendants.
Now Sherrod seeks compensation from Breitbart's widow and his estate.

It is neither libel nor slander if it is true.
Obama is who fired her. She should take it up with him.
Liberals are generally angry, ugly & greedy people so this is no surprise.
then he hired her elsewhere at twice the money.
I miss you Andrew Breitbart.
she resigned....no win lawsuit

Ask Tom Delay and Scooter Libby about rats practicing lawfare.
Reminds me of Ventura’s lawsuit again Chris Kyle’s widow. Just a bunch of bull****.
I guess murdering Andrew wasn’t enough for this regime.
I guess murdering Chris wasn’t enough for this regime.
This woman should be in prison right next to Hillary and Pelosi.
Next to Hillary and Pelosi and Rice and Jackson and Ingram and Lerner and Napolitano and Sebelius and Jarrett and...
“Later, in February 2011, she filed a defamation suit against Breitbart and his producer and aide Larry O’Connor, claiming the video damaged her reputation and prevented her from continuing her work. “
One of the great comedic lines of all time.
You are exactly right..
Now they have to hire lawyers to defend themselves while this idiot doing the suing probably has lawyers on a contingency basis costing her nothing unless they win.
She was ordered to resign by the White House. The really ugly thing is that her explanation of the video was perfectly straight-up; she had been telling that story on herself for years, as an illustration of how she had confronted, and eventually overcome, her own bias. It is actually a creditable story. But the White House had only seen the short clip and wanted her gone before Glen Beck came on that evening. She was axed before she could defend herself. No one in the WH (would that have been Rahm, or Valerie?) could be bothered to listen to an explanation in a rush to firing. In that case, the WH thugs took down one of their own, but it’s revealing of how the Obama crowd operates.
My understanding was it was the group she (Sherrod) was speaking to who were the asses not so much Sherrod herself. I haven’t seen the video in a while, but I remember thinking she seemed surprised at their reaction to admission. I could be wrong, but that is how I remember it and I couldn’t figure how folks were going out on a tangent against her. Wasn’t it an naccp group she was talking to and they all hooted and hurrayed when she admitted how she felt? And what she said next didn’t support their reaction. Again I could be wrong if I find the time I will look for it and watch it again.
she'll drop it quicker than JF’nKerry dropped his suit against the Swift Boat Vets.
oh boy...wait til she finds out about discovery
Does the law apply to progressives?
