The insurance exchange a key component of President Barack Obamas federal health care overhaul hasnt been able to sell any insurance in Hawaii because of problems with the software at the heart of the marketplace. Consumers cant see plans, even though a variety of options from two insurers have been approved to be sold by the states insurance division.
Hawaiis health insurance marketplace is hoping to turn around a stalled start by providing plans and pricing to consumers by Oct. 15 but there are no guarantees, its executive director said Wednesday.
Coral Andrews, executive director of Hawaii Health Connector, told state lawmakers Wednesday that getting the marketplace running properly has been a fluid situation, with circumstances changing every day.

“Software Probems” That must be the new PC term for “Priced Out Of Reach”, or POOR...
What if they gave a war and nobody came?
Don’t worry, they’ll deliver the next one to our doorsteps.
Same crappy product now with 20% more fail.
Sonner or later, the "consumer" in most people will take over. It's one thing to go to a rally and buy a t-shirt or a hat with the idiot's face on it; that's a one-time sunk cost. It's quite another to buy something to replace something you might already have, when the replacement costs considerably more, and whose "cost of ownership" is much higher (with deductibles and co-pays.)
And no one even knows what kind of care you'll get with the new product!
Has ANYBODY in the entire country enrolled in ObamaCare? Even though absurdly low numbers of people have supposedly signed up I have seen NOT ONE name. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse yesterday told a story about someone who signed up with ObamaCare and was so happy with the program that he supposedly bought a bunch of donuts and gave them away to celebrate. Really, Senator? How about if you give us the NAME of this happy ObamaCare Donut Donor?
Hawaii used the same contractor as the US government site - the SAME company that the Canadian government FIRED for doing a LOUSY job:
Put down the Choom and step away from the computer.
Washington State has enrolled over 20,000 now. Slightly less than half are Expanded Medicaid enrollees. The rest are health exchange enrollees in commercial policies, with completed and verified applications. All those accounts are missing is the first month’s premium (due in December). I have signed up myself due to having been dropped from our last policy. No choice, really. We have 10-12 continuing Rx between us.
Two queers got married there as well. So what.
Really? Then why in Hawaii (which spent 53M on their exchange) are sites not working so no one can enroll?
