Sonner or later, the "consumer" in most people will take over. It's one thing to go to a rally and buy a t-shirt or a hat with the idiot's face on it; that's a one-time sunk cost. It's quite another to buy something to replace something you might already have, when the replacement costs considerably more, and whose "cost of ownership" is much higher (with deductibles and co-pays.)
And no one even knows what kind of care you'll get with the new product!
