Krauthammer also says that he thinks the Republicans should stand firm -- we are giving you the extension you agreed to, THEN we'll negotiate, not every time the Republicans agree to something, Obama moves the goal post and wants more.

Obama doesn’t want a solution, and he will make sure he doesn’t get one. That’s how he plans to win and seize emergency power.

Obama and his administration lies.

That is an easy way to say a tough thing.

Lie.

A small word that tells much about the person’s character.

The GOP leadership still doesn't understand Obama's psychology. He doesn't call these meetings to discuss or negotiate. He calls them so that he can make a show of slapping you down and insulting you. He uses your sense of civility against you. Just as he did with the Supreme Court Justices, he expects you to stand still and be quiet, smile politely, while he rains vituperation down upon you for his and his base's enjoyment. He gets off on this passive/aggressive sort of attack and you, Boehner, McConnell, Cornyn, McCain, Ryan, et. al., walk into it blindly every time. He is evil and you are morons.

Public pressure forced the president to sign the “Honoring the Families of Fallen Soldiers Act” yesterday and I am certain he is mad and resentful about that. If his history is any guide he will become even more difficult to deal with in the upcoming days. He ususally is after having had his @$$ handed to him.

Silly Boehner and GOP, community organizers need a crisis to advance their agenda...haven’t you learner that after almost 5 years of Obama?

It's nice to see Dr. K supporting the idea of a 6-week extension. There seems to be a bit of a negative reaction to that idea here on FR. I'm with Dr. K on this.

My reasons for liking the 6 week extension idea: It allows a separation of the Government Shutdown/Obamacare issue from the Debt Limit Issue.

Why is that important?

Combining the two will both confuse the public and make it all too easy for the GOP to negotiate a debt ceiling reduction and a clean Continuing Resolution without getting anything but some nominal spending reductions out of the deal. Obamacare goals would be the first thing that gets dropped during the negotiations. A bad deal for us.

Krauthammer attends the Obama dinners. Not a word out of his mouth should be believed or adhered to.

This is actually the same technique used by Hitler against Chamberlain. Chamberlain offered Hitler something, and Hitler would take it; but instead of offering something in return, Hitler would demand more from Chamberlain, who was such a weak-willed individual that he would agree to it, with hopes that Hitler would offer something in return. Hitler never did.

The trouble with this technique is that eventually it backs (the) Chamberlain side into a corner, so he has to create an ultimatum, a “red line”. Since he has proven so weak before, (the) Hitler side, defies the ultimatum, thinking he can get away with it. Which at least at first, he can.

So now the conservatives must persuade the Republican leadership that negotiations with Obama are fruitless, because Obama does not haggle, only demand. And if the Republican leadership are firm, Obama will endlessly complain and whine about it.

This time, even with the help of the MSM, complaining and whining won’t work either, because it makes him look not only mean, but petulant and bratty, as Krauthammer pointed out.

Don’t negotiate with Obama. He is not so popular that you cannot wait for a crack in the Dems. Make them break with him. Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

The US will not default on it’s debt. With about $200-250 billion a month in revenue and debt service being about $25-30 billion... HOW in hell does anyone think we can’t pay our debts?

IF anyone stops & thinks for a few minutes, they will realize that Obama has been a ‘bait & switch’ entity from the moment he was born.

He just refined it when he got older.

I still have a list of items he campaigned on for the 2008 election, and all of those ‘positions’ have been breached.

Calling it bait & switch is too kind.

he is a born LIAR.

Obama is counting on his supporters to say:

Boehner wanted the president to talk to him , so he did.

Now, lets get on with the surrender.

Obama negotiates from the position of “ what’s mine is mine, and what’s yours should be mine” . So hurry up and give it to me.

Gomert on Beck’s show now, saying that Boehner is now in a meeting with Obama, and is “giving up on 98-99% of Obamacare, so they [RINOs] can say that they got something from Obama.”
