Lonegan to GOP: Wait Seven Days. When I Win, Obama Will Fold
Steve Lonegan for US Senate ^ | 10/10/13 | Will Gattenby

Posted on 10/10/2013 3:59:40 PM PDT by Lakeshark

Republican U.S. Senate candidate Steve Lonegan today urged House Republicans "not to capitulate to the president's unreasonable demands. When I win, Obama will fold."

Lonegan says his internal polling shows a neck-and-neck race in the U.S. Senate contest and that all the momentum is in his favor. "My victory in this election on Wednesday will send a message to Barack Obama, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi that the American people want an end to Obamacare and the rest of the President's radical agenda."

The former three-term Bogota mayor called on Republicans to stop listening to the same consultants and pollsters who blew the 2012 election and who are telling the GOP to fold and instead stand firm for seven more days.

"Republicans need to hold firm because seven days from today when Bob Menendez escorts me down the Senate aisle for my swearing in, the message about what our party should do will be clear for all," Lonegan maintained.

"I have come as far as I have in this campaign by ignoring the advice from all the pollsters and consultants who have told me to change what I think and change who I am," Lonegan added. "New Jerseyans are looking for a leader who fights for working taxpayers, not a Hollywood wannabe like Cory Booker who will rubber stamp the President's far-left wing agenda."

Steve Lonegan served as the Mayor of Bogota for twelve years, winning three times in a town that gave Barack Obama 67.5 percent of the vote in 2012. He served for seven years as state director of Americans for Prosperity New Jersey, where he helped defeat liberal attempts to expand big government. Steve Lonegan is the conservative Republican nominee in the New Jersey special election for the United States Senate. Lonegan stands firmly on his bedrock conservative values of limited government, fiscal responsibility and individual liberty.

I just ran across this. I know Palin and Levin will have a big event for Lonegan on Saturday, I'm beginning to think he has a chance. Win one for the Gipper and all of us, particularly in the deep blue sea of New Jersey!

I’m thinking the guy is fairly conservative for Palin and Levin to stump for him, he’s no Scott Brown, that’s for sure.

Newark ranks up with Detroit, Chicago as the most corrupt, crime ridden places in all the faire landes, right?

Didn’t the black democrat head of Detroit just get sentenced to 28 years?

You’d think New Jersey has enough people with common sense to put things like that together, and to not relegate the entire state to Newark/Detroit caliber management.

All Jersey FReepers should get out and vote for Steve Lonegan. And urge everyone that they talk to who votes to also vote for him.
We need this guy in this seat. He is a true Conservative.

I’ve seen past elections where a GOP surge in the polls turned very flat on Election Day so I put nothing past those Dems. But if Lonegan is the nominee, what becomes of the RINO that Christie was putting up last summer?

One good thing Chris Christy did in NJ was figure out how to get a Republican elected to statewide office. (Hint: stop the vote stealing.) I hope he can help out a fellow Republican win one in that state.

They still get paid, win or lose. That is why they are still hanging around inside the beltway and showing up on the 'news' programs and newstalk programs.

I voted for him in the GOV primary, knowing that Crispy Kreme was a RINO... I may have to drive 6 hours on Wednesday to get to my polling location and get in my vote... don’t live there, but it’s where I am register to vote.

I don’t think Christie’s RINO is up for election. He was only a temporary.

What are the means for the d’s to steal the election? That is the only question that matters in elections, these days.

And he should hire a food taster, and not take walks (like Breitbart) without bodyguards.

Carrying a piece himself might be a good idea so he doesn't get Loughnered while trying to talk to the People.
