I get the feeling a lot of people are seeing the price tags on the exchanges, thought they were getting free or reduced costs, and just walking away.

They won’t be back, either.

The cost is a driver yes, but I believe a total FEAR of one’s personal data getting compromised is just as strong.

Hey, but they went far enough into the process for the Feds to know who they are. Haha!!

Au contraire, my friend. Once you enter your data, there's no erasing it. You may not come back, but you will pay.

Relax. By my estimate, at 51,000 signups per week, it'll only take 113 years to register the US population.

Most people, who will admit it have three boxes, IN, OUT and TOO HARD. Stuff moves briskly from the IN box to the OUT box but if it goes to the TOO HARD box it usually eventually goes to the trash can.

People look at obamacare and will deem it just not worth the trouble. TOO HARD, not worth the effort or threat.

I don’t think I could ever fill out gov’t application online. It’s just ingrained in me to be careful what I put online. I just could not do it.

The problem was a stupid piece of programming that required signing on in order to look at the exchange information rather than just letting people look, and if they wanted to “buy” then linking to the signup. Would be like ebay requiring you to sign up before looking at various merchandise. At least that is how it has been explained by my resident computer guy.
Most people didn’t walk away, they never even got in the door.
