I would add that even though those decisions are made at a higher management level - the general staff appeared to be fine with enforcing it - so they are also complicit, despite their claims "we were just following orders"
Their job should get MUCH more difficult upon return to normal operations (nobody would ever think of breaking them off on Park Service employees before, not so much now).

Don’t blame the Park Service, blame the Spite House, which is where this vindictiveness comes from. It’s the Chicago Way.

The National Park service should shut down ‘President’s Park’ in Washington D.C.

If they did that, then the pain would be felt where it needs to be and we would not have this nonsense going on.

The regime is trying to show people how much they need the government. All they’re proving is that the government can and will make citizens suffer when they cross their rulers. How I loathe this thuggish Administration and all its works.

Would be great if AF pilots at Andrews refused to fly AF1.

Sorry, they don’t get a pass.

Police and military are obliged to refuse illegal orders.

In fact, this goes to show that, when given the orders, they will fire on American citizens.

After all, they’re just following orders.

Many middle level NPS brown shirts seem to enjoy their new Nazi style power.

“...despite their claims “we were just following orders”

From http://english.turkcebilgi.com/Nuremberg+Defense

“The Nuremberg Defense is a legal defense that essentially states that the defendant was “only following orders” (”Befehl ist Befehl”) and is therefore not responsible for his crimes. The defense was most famously employed during the Nuremberg Trials, after which it is named.

Before the end of World War II, the Allies suspected such a defense might be employed, and issued the London Charter of the International Military Tribunal, which specifically stated that this was not a valid defense against charges of war crimes.

Thus, under the Nuremberg Principles, “defense of superior orders” is not a defense for war crimes, although it might influence a sentencing authority to lessen the penalty.

“The fact that a person acted pursuant to order of his Government or of a superior does not relieve him from responsibility under international law, provided a moral choice was in fact possible to him.”

The United States military adjusted the Uniform Code of Military Justice after World War II. They included a rule nullifying this defense, essentially stating that American military personnel are allowed to refuse unlawful orders. This defense is still used often, however, reasoning that an unlawful order presents a dilemma from which there is no legal escape. One who refuses an unlawful order will still probably be jailed (and in some countries probably killed), and one who accepts one will probably be jailed.”

Dear Park Service Rangers (PSGestapo),

If you use the Defense, don’t be surprised if you’re compared with those who created it - or if that’s who you become.

Unlike the military, you won’t be jailed or killed if you refuse an unjust order, at worst, you’ll just lose your job. Do you guys (and girls) have ANY integrity left, at all?

Recreational areas like Camp David and the Andrews AFB golf course should be closed if there was the rule of law.

It’s time to shut down the park service and the parks. All federal land should be either sold or returned to the states.

I loved the parks as a kid. But now I realize that they’re competing against private enterprise at taxpayer expense. We need to start limiting what the federal government does and how many employees it has. This would be a great and painless place to start.

They are vindictive because they don't have to be fair. >>They are the government. You are not!<<

This reaffirms our attitude about government. If a private sector business did this, they'd risk losing business. Not the government — they don't have to worry about providing customer service. They don't have to care. They have a monopoly.

And that same government will be even more involved in our lives through Obamacare. Will Obamacare be any different? Absolutely not. A perfect example of this is the past two weeks of the Obamacare roll out. It has been a complete disaster but all standards. Is there an effort to fix it? Probably. But apparently it is going to take months. And when asked about it, the administration gets “vindictive.” Theres that word “vindictive” again.

Apparently government and vindictive are synonymous.

These bootlicking thugs all live somewhere. They are part of some community. One would think that some shunning and very public beratings by their neighbors, friends, family would be in order. Shame these a-hole turds into the ground. They are greatly outnumbered.

All Federal Park Rangers and Goons should be made to pay for their “following orders”. They should be denied service in any and all private owned business. Let’s see how long they follow orders when they cant buy food or other items. Let them eat grass in the parks they are ordered to protect from America’s citizens.
