Sorry, they don’t get a pass.

Police and military are obliged to refuse illegal orders.

In fact, this goes to show that, when given the orders, they will fire on American citizens.

After all, they’re just following orders.

DISAGREE. Just following orders wasn't a valid defense for soldiers in wartime where the penalty for not following them could be death. Here if the brown shirt rangers don't follow orders they would get a reprimand or at worst lose their jobs. A JOB BTW that is paid for by the very taxpayers that they're turning away.

Park Rangers in their proper uniforms

I assign a healthy portion of blame to the NPS and its employees.

They could have refused, en-masse, to enforce the Spitehouse’s BS directives.
