In today's edition of polls the media will collectively ignore, a new AP-GFK polls finds that Barack Obama's job approval rating has plummeted to 37%. The President's disapproval rating is up to 53%. There is no good news in this poll for anyone, but if past is prologue, this is the number the media will pretend does not exist as they attempt to manufacture a reality in which only the GOP is in trouble over the shutdown.
While the poll shows that 62% blame the GOP for the shutdown and "[a]bout half said Obama or the Democrats in Congress bear much responsibility," here are other important numbers the media will ignore in this poll:
Both Republican House Speaker John Boehner and Democrat Senate Majority Leader share a dismal 18% favorability rating.
A full 52% of those polled believe, "Obama is not doing enough to cooperate with Republicans to end the shutdown; 63 percent say Republicans aren't doing enough to cooperate with him."
Obviously, there is a pox on both houses happening here, but the headline of this poll from the AP and other publications distributing it, including the Washington Post, is "GOP Gets the Blame In Shutdown."
As for the number showing the public blaming the GOP 2-to-1 over Democrats, that is way outside what other polls released as recently as Monday show. While the GOP are receiving most of the blame, other polls show the spread between Republicans and Democrats is in single digits.
Republicans shouldnt dismiss the number in this poll. It could be an outlier, or a trend. The media have been shamelessly lying and carrying Obama's water in this debate, and it is possible that the media's propaganda is having an effect.

Anyone trying to understand the inexplicable nature in which he goes about his duties as president have come up with less than fulfilling explanations.
It is agonizing, panic-inducing beyond belief to a true American believer to accept the hard brutal reality that underscores Obama's diabolical, sinister design on nothing less than total destruction of our beloved country.
Most people, I myself included , find it nearly unbearable in coming to grips with the sense of Obama as utter anathema to everything that America stands for, everything that Freepers like myself fervently believe in. Under the worst possible scenario that of Obama enduring until the end of his elected term, we have no choice but to grit our teeth, steel our selves, stand studiously aside until that long-awaited day, when once again freedom shall ring throughout the land, in unprecedented joyous celebratory exultation.

President Lincoln was also in attendance and reportedly enjoyed the play, although he was unable to remain until its conclusion.
I know right!!!
Apparently a major part of 0bama's core constituency, the DIM WITTED, are even beginning to wake up!
OTOH, Congress’ approval rating is near zero, so pretty much everyone in DC is as popular as head lice right now.
When the president of France’s approval ratings plunged into the 30’s last year, it was considered the end of the world for him, and his numbers have never recovered. They’re now in the low 20’s.
Why should Obama be any different? Every time someone calls up to register for ObamaCare but finds the system down, another American is forced to agree that Obama does not deserve a high or ever average job-approval rating.
Imagine if everyone in America was forced to have their hair cut at only a single barber/beauty-shop franchise throughout the country — ObamaCut — just like everyone in America must now get their health insurance through ObamaCare — yet for more than a week every time anyone tried to make an appointment to have their hair cut the phone system was down. People would be very angry. No wonder Obama’s approval ratings are falling.
And ‘traditionally’ this is the time GOPe signals surrendering.......
You can bank on it.
On the day Bushs approval rating fell to 37%, Blitzer repeated 43 times in 3 hours, President Bushs approval has fallen to a new low of 37%!, breathlessly.
Today on CNN, the omly thing he has said is , President Obamas approval is pretty low, too, in response to the repeated meme of CONGRESS APPROVAL ONLY 5%!!!
Now they have 9 times in the last hour said that Republican approval is only 28%
Now, I wonder WHY?
