GOP's Raul Labrador to CNN's Cooper: 'You Don't Like Republicans in Control'

CNN's Anderson Cooper and Rep. Raul Labrador got into a heated debate Monday night on "Anderson Cooper 360" as Cooper pressed Labrador on why Republicans aren't allowing a vote on a "clean continuing resolution" to stop the budget impasse.

"But why should we?" the Idaho Republican asked.

"Because that's how things work," Cooper said. "Your job is to vote on things."

"So when Nancy Pelosi was the speaker of the House you asked her to vote on things that the Republican Party wanted?" Labrador responded. "But all of a sudden, just because you don't like the fact that the Republicans are in control of the House of Representatives, you want to make sure that the Republicans actually pass the Democrat …"

"I don't have a stake in this," Cooper interrupted.

"You seem to," Labrador said.

"This is the way it works in journalism," Cooper said. "When you're not on Fox News, you get contentious interviews. When you're not on MSNBC and a liberal, you get contentious interviews. My job is to ask you questions that are different than you think."

Why doesn’t Anderson Cooper, or some of our other supposedly top journalists, ask Mr. Obama a question. Instead, they accept whatever he says whole.

Useless.

As if leaning slightly less to the left than MSNBC makes CNN unbiased.

Anderson Cooper very rarely asks a Democrat a tough question. And the odds of him doing it are directly affected by the amount of power that Democrat has. In other words, he's far more likely to ask some freshman liberal congresswoman from Minnesota a tough question than he is a liberal Senator from NY, and he'll never ask President Stompyfeet a real tough question without vetting it with the President's people first so the president can "look sharp answering an unexpectedly tough question from the always scrappy Anderson Cooper!"

Repubs should have stopped appearing on those media outlets long ago. Let them talk to themselves. Run ads, get on Fox, radio, hometown appearances, travel and give speeches etc but stay away from the commies.

Hehehe...way to go Raul. He's my Idaho congressman, and he is very responsive to emails and personal communications.

Anderson Cooper is a metro-sexual, prissy, liberal who can't handle someone who does not do the Obama speak or drink that kool-aid.

The idea that he believes his job is to:

"My job is to ask you questions that are different than you think"
is so rediculously presumptious and filled with what he reallyt thinks his job is...and that is to try and catch any conservative in their words and make them look as bad as he can. very revealing.

But Labrador wasn't having any of it. He called Cooper out on it...the fact that Cooper has a "stake" in the conversation and is not at all unbiased, or seeking the actual facts. And Cooper walked right into verifying that with his answer.

Is AC still trying to claim that CNN is not a left leaning cable net?

Too late, AC, too late. The truth is out.

I must have missed Anderson demanding Harry Reid bring to the floor for a vote on all the budgets the house sent over.

"This is the way it works in journalism," Cooper said. "When you're not on Fox News, you get contentious interviews. When you're not on MSNBC and a liberal, you get contentious interviews. My job is to ask you questions that are different than you think."

More left wing transference and projection. And he adds a little snippy envious remark because Fox News can show a steady cam for an hour of a janitor mopping a floor and it would get higher ratings than anything Cooper could get.
