'Seventy years ago this month, an extraordinary mass escape happened from Nazi-occupied Denmark. Tipped off about German plans to deport them to concentration camps, almost the entire Jewish population - several thousand people - fled their homes and left the country.'

You see, the BBC still has sour grapes of when the Empire crumbled all around them and they lost Mandate Palestine (1948) to the very lucky an ingenious Jews.
Most stories about Israel that the BBC produces are biased are negative because the resent the Jews for winning and surviving in 1948-49 and again in 1967.
The BBC reflects the thinking of the Foreign Office and therefore, any positive story they publish about the Jews has to encompass the period when the “good” Jew was the victim Jew. Ah, the good old days, eh? mate?
They were the lucky ones. Good to see BBC honoring these people.
They were the smart ones.
My father was in the Danish resistance during WW2, and spent the last 2 years of the war in Sweden after escaping from the Gestapo, traveling to Sweden the same as the Jewish Danes, in a fishing boat. But BBC the story is leaving something out. Up until the German defeat at Stalingrad in the winter of 1942/43, the Swedish government was returning escaping Jews back to the Nazis. Nice, eh?
Swedes insightfully awarded our newly throned and fraudelent POTUS the Nobel Piece Prize. Reflux.
Those who worked with the Gestapo were called Quislings. “a person who betrays his or her own country by aiding an invading enemy, often serving later in a puppet government; fifth columnist. “
Men like your father are special.
Fantastic and we owe so much to them.
My father was an American aviator with the USAAF and bombed Germany from a B-24. We're both fortunate to be here and writing each other!
The BBC leaves a lot out, on purpose. The Scandinavians were of Aryan race according to the Germans, no? Most “occupied” countries happily turned over their Jews save Danmark and Bulgaria. Nothing new here, nothing surprising unfortunately.
The BBC goes out of its way to paint Israel in a negative light. They are an excellent news organization but, biased.
Wer
How out of touch could they have been when they issued that same prize to Muhammad Baradei - head of the IAEA for letting Iran arm itself with Nukes.
Yet again, the prize going to POTUS for? uh, what?
“Up until the German defeat at Stalingrad in the winter of 1942/43, the Swedish government was returning escaping Jews back to the Nazis. Nice, eh?”
And now, a stone’s throw from Denmark, the Swedish city of Malmo is rapidly becoming majority Muslim, with a skyrocketing crime rate.
Hey Sweden, don’t you wish you had all those Jews back?
Apparently bad karma can affect entire nations.
Lucky and ingenuous are not two adjectives I would use to describe the Irgun and Stern gangs.
