That lack of strategy certainly rankled one influential Republican member of Congress, who bemoaned President Obamas disinterest in rescuing the GOP from itself to a bunch of reporters last Thursday, speaking on the condition that he not be quoted by nameImagine the petulant coward who said this. Oh, I see you have.

Cruz is a team player. It’s just that the GOP-e are playong on the other team.
To: Oldeconomybuyer
Cruz does not play for the democrats like mcbunghole does so to progressives... Cruz is not a team player.

How is one senator end up causing so much "trouble" for the establishment?

If the GOP were a football team their record would be 0-0! Who in the hell wants to be included on a team that has no backbone?

“No strategy” my arse.
Cruz’s strategy was:
1) Unite Republican behind actually blocking a Cloture Vote on 0bamaCare. The capitulation caucus voted with Reid, which is not Cruz’s fault.
2) Call out the capitulation caucus for what it is, spineless, mealy mouthed, lying sacks of worthless excrement.
Cruz’s strategy worked. He’s now the de-facto leader of the Republican Party. Whiners can line up to follow or leave.

Leftists- circa, 2000: “Look at that Johnny McCain- I love this guy! He’s not afraid to rattle the cages in his own party (and most importantly, to give the Dems exactly what they want...). We need more like him! MAVERICK!!”
Leftists- circa, 2013: “Look at this Cruz guy- he’s rattling the cages in his own party (and making it difficult to cut deals with squishy, fearful Republicans...). This is horrible! Joseph McCarthy! Father Coughlin! Hitler!!”...

1) The people of Texas did not elect Cruz to be a Senator so he could go to DC and get along with his colleagues. Getting along is not the role of a senator, despite McCain’s belief.
2) It’s been McCain’s leadership, guidance which has gotten us to this point. Perpetual CRs spend the Stimulus over and over again every year, no actual immigration laws to speak of (well, we have plenty but they go unenforced thanks in large part to McCain) etc...
Maybe he should look at his own dismal track record and consider a change in approach.

I’m all in w/Cruz. If team playing means District Crime continues as it has, I’m in even more w/Cruz.
To: Oldeconomybuyer
Ted Cruz absolutely is a team player.
He plays for team We The People, By The People & For The People.
To: Oldeconomybuyer
Cruz is on MY team. We’re called “We The People”, and that’s the only team he needs to play for.

There’s a 50/50 chance that its one of the Gang of X crowd, or they just make this crap up, because it fits their narrative and wishful thinking, and make up an anonymous source.
