Net, net, net we don’t have the votes to undo Obamacare. Let it die of its own weight. Now is a good time to pivot, not cave and not right away, but pivot.

We win via the sequester in January and we’ve already got Dems to agree to a lower spending budget. We’re winning, but it is naïve to think we’ll do it in one budget season holding no veto proof majorities.

Actually, we agree. Making this about obastardcare was a mistake I think. I said all along that the pain of the monstrosity has to be maximized. People will only learn lessons if there are consequences to actions. Sadly, of the carrot or stick, the stick works best.

I have been wondering how the correction can be made from the wrong cause, defunding obastardcare, to the right cause... trying to manage the budget and stiffle spending. It has to be done in stages just like bringing down a junkie off of drugs.

Pivot to issues of spending, if it can be done properly somehow by the repubs, is the thing to do. Obastardcare is an unsustainable expense for all but it needs to become an example of the price of government that is too big. A battle cry?

Agreed! It is going down either way and the quickest way will be the complete lack of participation by the 20-30 somethings.
