One more piece of advice.....if you think someone may be following you in a car, make 3 right turns. If they make all 3, it is no accident. Drive to the nearest police station.

The only time I am not armed is when I have to go on to a military base. In all other times, I have a gun on me or in my truck. I also have a Louisville slugger bat in my truck when I can’t have a gun. Solid oak and a will to swing away gives me some protection when I have to leave the gun at home.
A walking cane is also a decent form of protection if you have to walk around without a gun.

At this point they may become aggressive and may start accusing you of racism or you don’t like their kind of people etc.
Tell them your bullets are color-blind.

Scream and shout help.
Yell "FIRE!". That gets everyone's attention. Unless he's aimimg a gun at you. :-(

This is bigoted bullshit. We Jews do NOT consider Christians enemies or hostile. My late wife was Catholic.

Got into a little social trouble over this a few times. I always get into a safe position. Someone’s hurt feelings are never a danger.

“I still keep a Browning Hi-Power in my car only it is now filled with a Mec-Gar 20 round mag and a 30 round spare.”

I never had a lot of luck with the 30rd mag, it jammed and was a b!tch to get the last couple rds in. But maybe mine was cheap.

There is another way to handle these mobs. It’s the way it was handled back in the old days. Is it coming to that?

Heh, just went to the site and I’m still logged-in.

At the old courthouse, the Sheriff’s Dept used to have a big bank of 1’x1’ locking safes at the metal detectors, where they’d take your cleared handgun, mag, lock it up and give you a receipt and key. That hardware doesn’t exist anymore, and they’re adamant about NOT allowing CCW firearms or personal cellphones into the courthouse complex.

No specific law/statute is cited in the PFOA post.

I’ll have to try to find the law which governs that, and talk to the Sheriff, though it probably won’t do any good without maybe a court challenge. I’ll also talk to my personal atty, who also CCWs, and try it anyway.

Oddly enough the 30 rounder is the only non Browning or Mec-Gar mag I will use. I bought it maybe 30 years ago and it just looked like quality. No name on it at all. I did once show it to a guy at a gun show who sold magazines.

He told me he had no idea where it was made but agreed with me that it looked like a quality mag. I once bought a 500 round box of old corrosive 9mm ammo. My Nephew and I shot the whole lot up at one time using a Browning and a Beretta.

That mag worked every time and also worked using some old handloads I loaded when I was still in high school. It was terrible stuff loaded with a Lee loader. The bullets were a 115 grain HP.

I still don’t know for sure where that mag was made but one guy who is very knowing of these things told me he thinks it is an Argentine Military mag.

There it is. The explanation of why benchpressing, marksman, farmboy hub used to get so riled when I would turn tail, politely and move, on sensing danger, while traveling and touring a strange city.

I can look at a map and say, we’re not going into that section.

Can’t take the Bronx out.

I do not open the door to blacks. They sometimes knock on the door then burst in.

Sometimes they knock to see if anyone is home and if there is no response they go around to the back to break in. My dogs go crazy when someone is at the door. I let them see me through the window so they know that someone is home.

Lots of people afraid to be called a racist open their doors to criminals. Not me.

You guys need to participate in some of the threads about the reasons for why the Jews vote as they do, the hate and fear of Christians is probably the number one reason offered by FR Jews as the explanation.

IF you can find one, the Bersa 9mm Ultra Compact Pro has 2 twelve round mags that come with it. There are 16 round mags from Bersa (for the 9mm Pro series, not the compact) that slip right in and run just fine in the UC Pro. The Bersa is not expensive, is very reliable, and since it is an all steel gun has less noticeable recoil so you will practice with it. I have night sites on mine and carry two 16 round mags in addition to the 12 round and one in the firing chamber. The Pistol is double/single action and the safety is a hammer drop safety. For around 380 you cannot beat it as an excellent personal defense weapon.

I’ll have to call; I didn’t see any lockers and the DS was polite but firm about no firearms/cellphones, last time I went there. It was a long walk back to the Jeep, and back to the courthouse. Thanks.

Here is the statute. See “e”

http://reference.pafoa.org/statutes/PA/18/I/9/913/possession-of-firearm-or-other-dangerous-weapon-in-court-facility/

actual notice of the provisions of subsection (a).(e) Facilities for checking firearms or other dangerous weapons.—Each county shall make available at or within the building containing a court facility by July 1, 2002, lockers or similar facilities at no charge or cost for the temporary checking of firearms by persons carrying firearms under section 6106(b) or 6109 or for the checking of other dangerous weapons that are not otherwise prohibited by law. Any individual checking a firearm, dangerous weapon or an item deemed to be a dangerous weapon at a court facility must be issued a receipt. Notice of the location of the facility shall be posted as required under subsection (d).

I opened the knife where he could see it and said something like "if you are tired of being a man, come closer".

I like that. Nothing like relating in terms the guy can understand.

BTW, Widener’s has the CZ 82 9 x 18 with two twelve round mags, holster, and cleaning rod for 279. If you have a C&R license it can be shipped to your door. If you go through a dealer you end up paying around 300 for an excellent, powerful, very reliable personal defense weapon. Extra mags are hard to find, but they are out there. 9 x 18 is just under the 9 x 19 luger in power.
