In making this post, I wanted to familiarize myself with the 14th Amendment to understand the dynamics in which it provided the President with the means to raise the debt ceiling but perusing quickly through the amendment I was unable to find anything related to the power of the President regarding debt ceiling.
It does say that the president has such power, but rather that the government must pay all debts.
Yeah, I was wondering the same thing...
Is no one in the media or congress going to call him on this? (I know, I know... it is a rhetorical question...)
And I agree: if he tries anything autocratic to “deal” with this, articles of impeachment should be filed immediately. This bozo is insane, truly insane.
