“Escort And Honor Ride”: Bikers Rally Today For WWII Vets At Closed Memorial
Gateway ^ | October 5, 2013 | Rachel Pulaski

Posted on 10/05/2013 8:20:54 AM PDT by george76

Today, from 9am to 11am, bikers will be rallying at Washington D.C.’s WWII Memorial that has been closed to the public due to the federal government shutdown. The bikers plan to honor the WWII veterans and show their support.

...

Riders!…Kick Stands Up and lets ride for these American Heroes!! America’s Greatest Generation defended our rights 70 years ago. Now it’s time that we defend THEIR rights and ensure they have access to THEIR Memorials. It’s time we show our government that we will no longer tolerate the political thugs that feel they can punish America into submission!! We are done with it!!

Let’s roll!!

Eric Zern is coordinating the event and he also coordinated the protest against the Muslim March on the 12th anniversary of 9/11 in D.C. The event brought an estimated 880,000 bikers, despite them being denied a permit to rally.

I m torn here in one way I sure do hope Obama’s goons tread carefully today because otherwise I think things will get very nasty very quickly, but in another way I think maybe it’s time for a showdown and we have two groups here that certainly could handle it and who’s cry would be as loud as a certain shot that was heard around the world.

Maybe we should use a trick of the left and occupy the Memorial it would be a hard thing to ignore.

Perhaps we need to learn this little ditty

(Always good to have a theme song)

Do you hear the people sing?
Singing a song of angry men?
It is the music of a people
Who will not be slaves again!
When the beating of your heart
Echoes the beating of the drums
There is a life about to start
When tomorrow comes!

Will you join in our crusade?
Who will be strong and stand with me?
Beyond the barricade
Is there a world you long to see?
Then join in the fight
That will give you the right to be free!

Do you hear the people sing?
Singing a song of angry men?
It is the music of a people
Who will not be slaves again!
When the beating of your heart
Echoes the beating of the drums
There is a life about to start
When tomorrow comes!

And after singing that song, the soldiers fired into the crowd. I saw the movie.

The beginning of the end of the US people supporting the Vietnam War was the shooting of four Kent State students at campus riots, by US National Guard troops.

The NSA, DHS, Park Service, and Military Services are being deployed this week against the citizenry in a way never before seen in US History. One more incident similar to the government murder of the woman attempting to drive past a barricade in DC this week, and the FedGov legitimacy to govern will completely evaporate.

Already the forces of liberty are gathering across the country. One more week of abusive provocation by FedGov, then our Kenyan is likely to learn some new meaning of shutdown.

Don’t worry.

If Obama and his goons keep this up, there will be a steady streams of bikers (and non-bikers) protesting all day long. If not this weekend, there will be other time and place soon. Citizen Patriots won’t let up.

Obama&Co hope to have a tea party riot, they don’t know what they stir up.

Mack: Shame what this town's come to.
Charley Waite: You could do something about it.
Mack: What? We're freighters. Ralph here's a shopkeeper.
Charley Waite: You're men, ain't you?
Mack: I didn't raise my boys just to see 'em killed.
Charley Waite: Well you may not know this, but there's things that gnaw at a man worse than dying.

The difference between that country and this country is, our mili8tary would be on OUR side, and the crowd would be more heavily armed then the government troops.

Another thread on it here:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3075136/posts

And here (Congress Amodei (R-NV) there to help break the barricades and with more Congressmen, Representatives Huizenga and Amash on site; and, apparently, Reps Bachman and King are there, too: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3075220/posts

I can’t find it now, but I read another thread this a.m. re the Bikers and there was a link to a Facebook page with pictures, etc. I do recall reading on that thread that the rangers said they could go through the back entrance but wouldn’t let the Vets through the front/main entrance - - the bikers were not happy about that! I don’t do Facebook, so can’t search there, but, there was a link on the FR thread, wish I could find it :-(

There’s a protest today at Pigsah Inn, NC http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3075183/posts

and also at Cape Hatteras National Seashore:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3075246/posts

doing a search by protest and titles on FR, it appears there are various protests today or yesterday - labor unions protest shutdown at Capitol yesterday - only about 100 showed up, so probably that’s why I didn’t hear about it: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3075007/posts

Did you ever wonder how the Chinese got their troops to form human waves to fight us in Korea? Their officers and NCO's shot any man who showed the slightest sign of cowardice or unwillingness to follow orders. Chinese troops were crying, screaming in full hysteria, but they advanced on us in human waves because if they didn't, they would be killed by their own people.

The orders of the Commander-in-Chief will go down through the ranks from the highest generals to the NCO's in the field. If they are ordered to fire at patriotic Americans, their orders will inform them that these people are "insurgents" and "traitors". Those orders will be followed, and anybody who does not follow those orders will be shot on the spot.

But it probably won't come to that. When the drones and biological weapons are deployed under martial law, FEMA will be able to handle it. Federal paramilitaries will simply follow their orders because they always follow the orders of those who pay them.

I would not bet on it. In the past, yes they would. now, some will some won’t. As time passes the numbers of those in the military and law enforcement too for that matter, grows smaller while those in the other camp grows larger. That both the military and law enforcement have not been turned loose on the American is proof that the numbers on one side are more that the numbers on the other side. However the equastion is constantly changing. When the numbers in the military and law enforcement of those who will fire upon American citizens when ordered exceed those that won't, everything will change.

I’m sorry you are such a pessimist. When this country was formed less than 15% of the people participated. We won anyway. There is a difference between people who fight because they fear death and people who fight because they fear slavery. It might be best for those who don’t believe in this country to hide behind the womenfolk,

There were offices and NCOs in Vietnam who thought that was the way it worked also. Does the term "fragging" or "fragged" mean anything to you?

Charley was right.

Since Jan. 2009 we only thought nobama could not get any worse and then he did. If Conservative Americans were not such American loving Patriots, nobama would have already ignited SHTF.

Just like the Japs, Iraq and Al-Qaida, America can be spit on and pushed around .... to a point and when we finally get a craw full its all over except the shouting.

I’ll take your bet and indeed bet on it. Moreover I’m here to see that everyone near me is armed to the teeth with a good deal of the 300 million+ privately owned firearms in the USA. I’ve said for the past half century that if I have to march to defend my rights I’ll be carrying at least one of the weapons I was carrying when I took that oath to defend-— a long time ago. I have no intention of being ordered around by a punk park ranger who has no real authority to order anything but french fries.

You’re making the case for fragging-—passing out illegal orders has a way of increasing retalliation against dumbasses who blindly follow stupid instructions/orders. And when everybody down the C of C is already armed they have a way of forcing a “discussion” of the merits of the order.

I remember fragging very well. I was an Army officer during that period, stationed stateside, and one of my greatest fears was that I would be sent to Nam and given orders for a patrol that would be opposed by the men of my platoon.

Let's say I followed orders and went out into the boonies with my men. If I let them radio in false positions while they smoked pot and sat around, and if I were caught, I would be court-martialed and end up in Leavenworth. If I did my duty, followed orders and executed that patrol as my CO demanded, I had a chance of being fragged by my men. Which would I choose?

I hoped I would never be put in that position, but if I were, I would follow my orders to the letter. I would rely on my senior NCO's, who I'm sure would be an experienced, hard-bitten lot, for advice, but I would follow orders.

That is one of my favorite movies.

I rank it as equal to “The Best Years of Our Lives”, and that was my favorite before I saw “Open Range”.’’

I am no fan of Kevin Costner, but he did a good job across from Robert Duvall, who was absolutely 100% peerless in that performance.

I think it is his best, and he has had some good ones.
