An employee of Minnesotas Obamacare exchange, MNsure, sent an unencrypted file to the wrong person and left 2,400 peoples private information at the mercy of a nearby insurance agent.
One exchange staffers simple mistake gave insurance broker Jim Koester access to an Excel document of Social Security numbers, names, addresses and other personal data for whole a list of insurance agents. Luckily for the 2,400, Koester was cooperative and unnerved.
The more I thought about it, the more troubled I was, Koester told the Minnesota Star Tribune. What if this had fallen into the wrong hands? Its scary. If this is happening now, how can clients of MNsure be confident their data is safe?
Many Obamacare supporters emphasized that the giltches in exchanges today are no biggie.

Right. As long as it is someone else's private information.
So that was what, half a day after Obamacare was officially implemented?
>> 2,400 peoples private information at the mercy of a nearby insurance agent.
How is this worse than the govt having this private information?
Ping
Be thankful for this. If you have not enrolled.
Bammy, Nazi and Dingy are your friends.
Wait.
An EXCEL file of all of the Obamacare applicants?
At least, they were told not to leave the tax papers in the FAX machine after sending information to the IRS .... But now the Oabamcare agency is using simple un-encrypted EXCEL files?
There’s probably not many more people than that who have managed to access the site and register, or whatever (I won’t go to it), so that could mean that almost everyone has had their information left unsecured.
***What if this had fallen into the wrong hands?***
All that personal info starts off in the wrong hands, Mr Koester.
One man’s “Glitch” is another man’s “FUBO”.
Here we go. Gee I wonder what will happen with all the “Navigators” who don’t have to have background checks, get a hold of all this info. What could possibly go wrong?
This system is a hacker's wet dream ...
The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
Then again, these are the same people that think they will be sitting between Nazi Pelosi and Moochelle Obama at the Pharaoh Barack Abortion and Health Clinic while waiting for the Third World Trained Nurse Practitioner to set their broken arm.
Thanks.
There was no accident. Other than the accident got out to the wrong person in the public. Getting the peoples’ info is part of the plan.
Hackers wet dream?
More like identity thieves’ wet dream...... and the victims’ nightmare.
It's just the perfect storm.
We're not putting Man on the Moon anymore, we're just happy with being a FN zoo.
But this is about to come to a screeching halt, Thank You, Senator Cruz.
Well, looks like the Zer0 can be credited with some job creation after all. The holes, errors, and other vulnerabilities in this program are going to be appearing forever, and they’ll need an army of Information Security professionals working constantly to plug the leaks.
