ABC is reporting that it is now almost certain Congress and the White House will not reach an agreement to avoid a government shutdown.
On Sunday’s This Week, ABC’s chief White House correspondent Jonathan Karl said, “I would now put the chances of a government shutdown at 99.9 percent” (video follows with transcript and commentary):

I am 99.9% certain a government slowdown will not affect me one iota. The danger for the democrat party is that millions of other Americans will realize the same things as the government slowdown drags on, causing even some low information voters to shrug their shoulders. The rest of us will be laughing at the torturous lengths the old media will be going to in order to concoct sob stories about the slowdown.
What scares the crap out of the RATs is that no one will notice, except the mediots with heartbreaking stories about the fifth grade class that couldn’t get in to Jellysone Park....
We can win this fight if we message it correctly, and stop sending out tools like McCarthy to the Sunday Shows.

Mike Lee is crucifying Tim Kain on FNC. This guy is such a poor spokesman for the rats. He’s being asked about people losing their doctors and his repeat response is just, “its wrong to shut down the government”.

The administration is hoping that the shut-down won’t be the bust that Obama’s sequester has been. If the government shuts down and no one notices or cares, how are they going to whip up the outrage against Republicans?
