That a phone call is as good as a hand shake is certainly, is blatantly, untrue, particularly under the desperate expectations with which the Kenyan K*tster sought to choreograph just such a scenario of him and Rouhani shaking hands as indicative that he still serves a purpose, perhaps in the way a totem pole presents an opportunity for a tourist scrapbook.

Any leader with even an infinitesimal sense of self-respect might not have engaged in such a low rent diplomatic encounter after being slighted so ceremoniously during Rouhani's visit to New York.

Contrary to the Times assertion, not only is the phone call not some diplomatic accomplishment, it is more of a continuation of a policy of of punt diplomacy Rouhani began in New York when he deprived the president of the picture op he so desperately coveted.

“Wow, this is fantastic,” said Armin Kay, an engineer reacting to the news. “The most important thing is that Obama took the initiative. This will go down really well with our leadership.”

The first thing you've got to find out which leadership he;s talking about. Anything coming out of Rouhani's mouth is the diplomatic version of Taqiyah, the Islamic process that allows you to lie, manipulate your intentions for the purpose of furthering one's objectives. Just yesterday, after Rouhani in total diametric opposition to his predecessor expressed regret regarding the Holocaust, a report out of Tehran accused CNN of having fabricated Rohani's comments on the Holocaust.

Imagine, the President of the United States of America depending upon thugs and terrorists for attention.

Grovel:
: to kneel, lie, or crawl on the ground

: to treat someone with too much respect or fear in a way that shows weakness in order to be forgiven or to gain approval or favor

: also known as Obama’s negotiating stance particularly with Muslim countries

He has unending trust for a government that murdered over 200 US Marines but total contempt and mistrust for the GOP.

Peace in our time never felt soooo good.

It was the first direct conversation between leaders of Iran and the United States since the Islamic Revolution in 1979.”

Obama negotiates with terrorist nations but publicly says he wont negotiate with GOP over debt limit.

Now that's a softball to the GOP to hit out of park.

Debt limit holdup is looking like low hanging fruit.

Unlike, well the last ones not over yet.

If comrade obama really wanted to make an impression he’d announce something like an agreement by Iran to subsidize the American food assistance programs in exchange for Iran’s right to exist. Instead, he’ll probably announce an agreement to provide Iran with billions of dollars in refined fuel, food supplies, and nuclear technical assistance in exchange for Iran’s promise not to bomb Kenya.

And Iran happily continues with their enrichment program. Just wonder how long it will be when Israel says enough is enough of this crap.
