The Democrats keep referring to it as 'affordable'. They hide all the extra costs and the lies that were told so they could pass the Bill.
Beacause they are all loaded and hundreds of dollars a month to them is chump change.

It is easy to designate something as “affordable”. First, begin with redefining the world itself.
“Affordable” no longer means “to fit within one’s budget”.
Beg, borrow, or steal from others to maintain the continuing flow of the “entitlement”. Rather like feeding a crack cocaine habit. A person can afford anything, if willing to take the risks and make the compromises necessary in trading away all the other wants and needs that accrue in life. Prudence and any thought of what will fill the void tomorrow are totally abandoned, in the headlong plunge into the abyss. The very concept of budgeting has gone out the window, long ago.

one of the shills was arguing, with a (virtual) straight face, that if a person could not afford the premiums for 0Care- & I quote: “they should sell their house & move into an apartment” and “sell their car & either take public transportation or ride a bicycle”. This person was supposedly in the NE (Maine or Mass, I think- according to their screen name) & the regular people were incredulous: A bicycle. There. In the snow. & Pick up their kids/ take their elderly parent to the doctor- on a bicycle or a bus.
Anyay, that’s “how important” “health care” was.
(It was pointed out that insurance is NOT “health care” AND that people wouldn’t be able to afford to use it once they’ve paid the premiums.)
I was surprised they didn’t say people are too fat anyway, so take it out of the grocery money.
It’s hard to have a conscience when you’re Bat Guano Crazy, I guess. OFAs are like pre-programmed robots (or not unlike offshore “customer service” agents). They just keep repeating their script, but they don’t even comprehend what is said to them. It doesn’t compute that they are talking about the average rent (or more) & certainly more than the average mortgage.
