What will it take to wake up the youth?

What will it take to wake up the youth?

What will it take to wake up the youth and let them know they are being used in yet another Ponzi type scheme? Currently over 6 percent of their wages are taken out for Social Security, a system which is likely to be broke and not pay out as it should to anyone under 45 years old. Enter Obamacare, among its many problems it is yet another program that depends on the youth to pay in for it to work, but is destined to become broke and destroy our healthcare. Obamacare will be taking over 9 percent of everyone’s wages for life – yes, ‘at least’ over 9% for a single person plan – far more for a family plan. Added up, the youth are expected to pay over 15% into Ponzi type schemes that will likely be broke and/or broken well before their retirement years – the years when these programs would be needed by most.

On top of that, a majority of our working tax dollars are used to pay for entitlement programs, i.e.; food stamps, housing, Medicaid, Medicare, and a broken Social Security program. Then you also have a bloated wasteful government which spends your wages on the frivolous while always threatening to slash salaries of police, firefighters, military, and teachers at the mere mention of a tax cut. The average person’s income tax in a lifetime would not come close to paying for a single White House formal dinner gathering.

But it gets worse; our government is currently printing over 1 trillion dollars a year to prop up the stock market and borrowing to pay down debts, which devalues the dollar. Remember the outrage a few months back in Europe when the Cyprus parliament was going to seize 10 percent of all of their citizen’s savings to pay for a government bailout? Well our government is essentially doing the same thing by borrowing and printing money to pay down debt while our dollar is devalued – more than 10 percent. Where is the outrage?

Wake up youth, and wake up America. With the help of the media, they have pitted us against each other and we have lost focus on our country. We need to get out of the ‘team’ mentality of Democrats vs. Republicans – this is, or should be, the American people vs. an out of control government. We cannot permit either party to contribute to our country’s downfall. Get involved and educate yourself – Social Security, Obamacare, entitlement programs, higher taxes for wasteful spending, and the devaluing of our dollar -among many other things… All from a corrupt and out of control government that no longer represents its people. Wake up!

Tax them more, they will wake up when they realize that in order to implement all of Obama’s vision they will have to undergo tax hikes too. People’s views on big government tend to shift dramatically when they realize it is not *just* multibillionaires who will be forced to cover the costs of it.

Forget the multi billionaires..they don’t pay income tax. Their earnings are unrealized capital gains..zero tax.
Only the people trying to get rich will be taxed. Do you think Warren Buffett would be for higher taxes if he was really going to pay them?

It’s an interesting thought exercise, because, assuming they wake up one at a time, every one of their facebook friends and acquaintances will instantly turn on them should they begin to question the wisdom of subservience to Dear Leader and the remaining believers will probably begin to become interested in re-education camps and the like. I wish I was kidding.

What will it take to wake up the youth?

Pain and despair, of the variety that hasn't been felt since the great depression. Unfortunately, between mommy and daddy rushing in to support their standard of living if they can't find a job and all the government programs available to do the same thing, I don't see it happening anytime soon short of a total government collapse.

For some of them, it will take having a job. They really are pretty immune to taxes until they have jobs. Once they start seeing what they pay in taxes, there is at least a chance they might “get it”.

The trust funds are only invested in US Treasury bonds.

So any time payouts exceed contributions, the Federal government has to pony up cash.

The the trust fund “investments”, US Treasury bonds, are therefore junk paper.

This is because out of everything government pays, a little over half the cash comes from current tax collection, the rest is borrowed by issuing more bonds, that are then sold off via international finance.

Actually 50 years ago people weren’t addicted to credit cards, expensive mortgages, college loans etc etc....

What has happened the citizens gleefully indebted their lives to bills, they are slaves to things they can’t afford.

Until the citizens learn to live within their means, they will continue to get the crap taxed out of them while they run up huge bills...

Basically people who have no mortgages, car loans or credit bills will survive the collapse, since they will be able to leave the employer grid and get back to basics of doing things for themselves, starting with growing food and selling/bartering thir services to other like minded people.

The mess we are in is based on greed and fear...of the “must have what I can’t really afford” society.
