Sen. Cruz continues night-long attack on Obamacare
The Washington Post ^ | September 25, 2013 | Ed O'Keefe,Paul Kane

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) continued his attacks on President Obama’s health-care law early Wednesday morning by continuing a marathon speech modeled on old-fashion filibusters that likely will complicate House GOP efforts to pass a funding bill that would avert a government shutdown next week.

Ted Cruz...the standard to judge all US Senators by.....

This article presumes that the reason GOPe is opposed to Cruz is b/c they don’t want blame for a shutdown ala 1996.

I reject that.

First, the gov’t is fully funded - different than before IIRC - and the senators most assuredly know this. Second, the GOPe isn’t screaming this from the rooftops - indeed they’re kind of being quiet about why they oppose Cruz.

im still not satisfied we know why some R senators oppose.

Cronyn? He won’t take calls.

I wrote it yesterday, none who swont stand with Cruz now are very unwise. The American public will eventually turn to Cruz even if the do so only way after its yoo late, and the guys that were against him will not be able to squirm out of it

“I’m still not satisfied we know why some R senators oppose.”

Business interests that fund the GOP want to shift the cost of employee health care from the employer to government much as they shifted the cost of retirement savings from employers to employees and government over the last 20 years. The result will be lower total compensation for employees, higher profits for business, larger government bureaucracies, higher taxes for individuals, and a lower standard of living for the average worker.

The GOP elites do the bidding of those who finance the party. In this case the interests of big money are allied with the progressive agenda. Crony capitalism.

I believe the last election proved with out doubt that the American people who voted were in the majority in favor of socialism.

The Congressmen can either defend the American Constitution which they have sworn to uphold and get voted out or they can pacify the voters and keep their job.

Obama care is just one disease among many of socialism.

Cronyn? He won’t take calls.

If the Washington elites thought they had a bunch of irate constituents yesterday, they are in for a flood of calls, texts, faxes, tweets, etc., today.

Team Cruz is shaming many of them.

Yes. Wait ‘til they see what happens if this goes through and their monthly med insurance payment is about $600 more, and for inferior care.

Neither they nor BO will be able to blame Cruz

Not sure who you mean by “They” but if you are referring to the elected repubs, they are “exempt” from odumbocare.
