Egypt’s military-backed government on Tuesday signaled it was in no rush to dismantle the Muslim Brotherhood, preferring to wait for a ruling outlawing the ousted president’s group to be upheld by a higher tribunal.

The group rejected Monday’s court verdict and vowed to appeal it. But with much of their leadership in prison and public opinion appearing to run strongly against them, analysts said the Brotherhood can do little more.

In New York, meanwhile, U.S. President Barack Obama said that future support for Egypt would depend on its progress in pursuing democracy. …

Unfortunately, dismantling the head of the Muslim Brotherhood movement in the US is not able to happen currently under the Constitution. Apparantly, support for the MB is not part of: “Article 2, section 4:... Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors. “

Sounds like they just prefer to wait until the higher court confirms the lower court ruling. That avoids giving Muslim supporters like Obama and the Frogs another excuse to say that the current government is illegitimate.

Vlad will be more than happy to fill any void left by Obama.

That would be the same high court that the Muslim Bros. were trying to dismiss and replace with their Islamic sharia courts?

I predict they'll have no sympathy for the MB arguments. And that's a good thing for Egyptian freedom.

Plus as a bonus, it will tick off Obama. Win-win!

Sen. Rand Paul is hammering his fellow senators for keeping billions in financial aid flowing to Egypt’s military — even as Cairo’s security forces massacre anti-government activists.

[by “anti-government activists” is meant church-burning jihadists]

I cannot understand why anyone likes or trusts Rand Paul any more.
