Rand Paul is standing with Ted Cruz.
The Kentucky GOP senator will oppose a vote to end debate later this week on a House-passed spending bill, which includes a provision defunding Obamacare, a spokeswoman said. Cruz (R-Texas) is urging Republican senators to halt the bill procedurally later this week to prevent Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) from removing the Obamacare provision and pushing a clean spending bill back to the House this weekend.
Paul also joined Cruz on the Senate floor Tuesday as Cruz mounted an hours-long speech in opposition to the Affordable Care Act.

A lot of people are watching, and many have to be awash in shame, as the betrayers they are, to see this man never give up.
If Cruz keeps this up, he will be measured as Churchillian.
These guys will become the “hip” people to follow. Obama is a going to become as cool as MC Hammer.

I think you are right. Im not a fan of the Pauls but thank him for taking this stand.
Yesterday Rand said we wouldn’t get defunding and I skewered him here on FR as a defeatist.
But I noted that on immigration he eventually came around and hoped he would as well on defunding Obamacare, and he has.
Cruz = Statesman. The GOPe = Democrats.
Let’s start that conversation by acknowledging we aren’t going to deport 12 million illegal immigrants... bringing these workers out of the shadows and into being taxpaying members of society. Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.12 million more people assimilating into society. 12 million more people being productive contributors. So there is an impasse. In 2011, though, we had this impasse and the president did negotiate. We got the sequester.
