A new worker's revolution is rising in China and it doesn't involve humans.

With soaring wages and an aging population, electronics factory managers say the day is approaching when robotic workers will replace people on the Chinese factory floor.

A new wave of industrial robots is in development, ranging from high-end humanoid machines with vision, touch and even learning capabilities, to low-cost robots vying to undercut China's minimum wage....

So the human workers will now be used solely for unwilling organ donors?

This is great news! Cheap labor is hard to find in China because everyone is so rich and they refuse to do anything as menial as work in factories, much preferring to while away their days on their countryside estates. Also great news for the rich people that live in the cities! They will now be able to buy and use even more consumer goods with all the money and time they have. Yes indeed, eliminating millions of menial jobs will be a great boon to Chinese society!

/sarcasm.

Robots replace some jobs and create jobs elsewhere in design, manufacturing, installation, servicing and reporters bitching about them.

But just maybe more of their people will be starving and China can create another market for North Korea’s Meth production.

Sit back with some popcorn (if the liberals don’t use it all for fuel) and watch.

""It's clear that automation is the future trend in China, but the big question is how to bring down the costs for robots," said Delta Chairman Yancey Hai in an interview. "We believe we can do that because we manufacture two-thirds of the components ourselves."

That should be the U.S.. More benefits from our stupid low tariff policy.

Not news. Engineers the world over are working to make improved robots. There’s nothing that will make China’s robotic future unique.

China's nerds are not better than American nerds. The Chinese engineers may be smart but they can't think outside the box. Our nerds have independent streaks and creativity that will allow America to excell at building robots. We can build here again, and screw the Chinese out of factories.
