You are probably right, I just tire of being called names by people that ignore facts and only speak ideology. I expect that from the left, kind of disappointing to get it from the right, momentary weakness, nothing more.
It cannot be compared, honestly, and anyone who attempts to do so is dishonest at heart.
The sole giveaway fact is this. Judaism, and its offshoot, the various branches of Christianity, stress monogamy, Islam, on the other hand, does not. It allows for, and even approves of, polygamy, specifically, polygyny. Under Judaism and Christianity, the status of women improved greatly from its state in the ancient polytheistic world. Islam represents, at best, a terrible regression from this trend of improving the social and civil status of the female members of a society. They may *claim* a kinship to the true monotheistic faiths, but their treatment of their wives, mothers, sisters, and grandmothers gives the public lie to any such claim as they wish to make...

You should stop calling them “extremists.” In order to be “extreme” their actions have to fall far outside the norms in question. A better word for them would be “fundamentalists.”

I agree with UCANSEE2, this is a completely misleading thread. In no way can this video be said to show Muslims gloating over a beheaded Christian child. I have no time for the Syrian rebels but that is no reason to post up inaccurate propaganda.
The video shows a group distraut men, obviously Muslims but not apparently members of an armed organisation weeping and lamenting a large number of dead adults and children. One of the children, a little girl has had her head removed but it strikes me that the victims have been killed by some sort of explosion or other attack.
It is by no means certain who carried out the attack that killed the victims, Syrian army or rebels it is not clear.
The men are angry, they are enraged, they are weeping but they are NOT gloating over the beheading of a little girl, who almost certainly is Muslim herself.

There doesn't seem to be any other wounds on the young girl other than her head is gone. It looks like she was beheaded. Her pretty little dress is clean except where her head should be. The dress is definitely Western looking, along with the little white tights and bracelet the child has on. The clothing would indicate a possible Christian child rather than a Muslim little girl. As far as whether the Syrian rebels did this or the Syrian army is not proved one way or the other. But like the other video I mentioned in post 66, it could easily be that the Syrian rebels are using their own murders to help their cause.
Obama to this day, refuses to tell the truth about Benghazi (or hold anyone responsible) and we still don't know 1) who made up the story about the video being the reason for the attack, 2) why the State department refused numerous security requests before the attack (even though there had already been attacks in Benghazi) or 3) why the defense department didn't send help. I have a hard time believing the rebels are innocent freedom fighters. In any case both sides are Muslims and we don't need to be taking sides with terrorists who may or may not have committed this atrocity.
The title of this thread is taken directly from the site. It's not a slam dunk who is responsible, but shows the horrors of what is happening in Syria. The site has other incidents that have better proof of Syrian rebel incidents.
I'm inclined to believe the Liveleak site that the Rebels are using propaganda videos of deaths that they may have done themselves. I don't want us to help the Al Qaeda rebels in Syria, as they continue to kill the Christians, just as the Muslim brotherhood did in Egypt.
