ALEXANDRIA, VA — Today, the Senate Conservatives Fund (SCF) called on Senate Republicans to oppose cloture on Harry Reid's attempt to fund Obamacare with a simple majority.
SCF Executive Director, Matt Hoskins, made the following statement:
"Americans won a major victory today when the House passed legislation to fund the government without funding Obamacare, but now the debate shifts to the Senate where Harry Reid and the Democrats will try to fund Obamacare. The Democrats have a plan to fund Obamacare, but Republicans can stop it if they stick together.

I wanted to make sure everyone knows what the next step is. Republicans in the Senate must NOT vote for cloture. Ted Cruz and others can then filibuster as long as they need to.

If the Republicans can stop cloture in the Senate, it seems to me the House Republicans could then vote on bills to fund specifics, (Defense, Social Security, etc...) and dare the Senate Democrats to vote against specific funding bills.
If the Republicans in the House and Senate work together, this is doable.
Best Case Scenario:
House passes CR w/o Obamacare and sends to the Senate.
Harry Reid twiddles it to a stall.
Senate eliminates the Obamacare condition and passes a full CR.
Full CR passes the House, President signs
Obamacare totters ahead, enrollments miss their mark, more people are enraged as Jobs shrink, insurance costs skyrocket, more stories about people being kicked off employer plans, etc.
GOP says, “who, us? We tried to kill it but the Dems put their arms around it again. Now they own it.
2014, Senate falls to the GOP and the House loses even more Democrats.
That’s what I call a win-win.
Best case scenario is to stop it before it becomes law.
The Senate Republicans can filibuster if they get their 41 Senators. And Boehner can pass individual bills to keep the government going and send them to the Senate for passage.
Assad got Obama to blink. The American people can stand together and get him to blink.
This is good, right on the money advice!!! We must get to the whimp RINOs and threatened Democrat Senators facing re-election in November, 2014. But.....we, the American people need to do more then that!!! We can insure victory in the Senate by continuing to sign and endorse the Lee/Cruz petition to defund Obamacare. Yes....defunding Obamacare is paramount....but, far more important, is the destruction of the Obama Presidency and Democrat Party!!!

My friend, you may be interested to know that the current total signatures on the Lee/Cruz Petition at this moment are: 1,580,000 signatures. By Monday evening or late Tuesday morning the petition will pass the 2,000,000 signature level. The timing is good, because the House CR with the Defend Obamacare add-on will just being looked over in the Senate. Reid will need at least a week, or a bit more to get it to a vote in the Senate!!! By the end of next week, the petition could be approaching 3,000,000 legitimate signatures.....and hopefully lots more, if only the faithful will take the simple action to endorse the petition in massive numbers.
Remember....this excellent petition is the American people speaking to their representatives, both Democrat & Republican. Please help....the best you can. I am doing this for one reason and, one reason only.......I want my children, now grown, and grandchildren to enjoy America the way that I did!!! Have fun & LOL!!!

It really doesn’t matter what the senate does. Reid’s senate will never go along with Republicans. That’s a given. But the senate doesn’t even matter on this one, nor does Obama.
The real strategy is to have the Republican controlled House NOT fund Obamacare under any circumstances whatsoever.
They must reject whatever the senate sends back to them that enables Obamacare to go forward. Then they should begin passing “clean” bills to fund the legitimate and essential departments of government, one at a time.
If Reid and Obama block each one, you just continue with the next one. Let Obama/Reid say hell no we will not fund the military or whichever department the house chooses to fund next.
Keep rejecting the senate’s obnoxious attempts to amend the bills. The people will recognize and understand who the real villains really are.
But at the same time, keep reminding the people over and over again that Obama/Reid cannot unilaterally block military pay, or social security checks, or medicare payments, or funding for the post office, or the courts, or the air traffic controllers or any other “essential” government service.
If Obama/Reid carry through with THEIR threats to shutdown the government, the main thing that will happen is a whole bunch of federal employees will get laid off. Big deal.
The Republican House controls the purse strings per the constitution. Draw them up taut!!
Let Obama/Reid howl like the petulant spoiled children they are.
The Reaganite Cruz is just the guy who can take the message directly to the people and explain it in terms that will unite the people against the spread-the-wealth-around Marxists. The people do not want this job-killing, nation-wrecking socialist obamacare system. They do not want the government controlling their healthcare.
If the House Republicans hold the line they will be heroes to the American people and the Republicans will be swept into office in landslide victories in 2014.
If they listen to Tokyo Rove and the GOP-e statists and cave, they fail. If they go ahead and fund Obamacare after the majority of the people have told them not to, then I sure as hell would not expect them to be re-elected.
